With only a CGFBM, a MS, a SHII, and a couple of Rats, I don't think I'd even qualify as a shoat. YET!

I'm definately a HOG...a fairly new HOG...but nonetheless a HOG. Does using HOG 3 times in the same sentence count for anything?
 
I am a Hog. As to level of Hogdom, I am not at the utmost top level where a few rare hogs reside. (We all know who they are, except for the stealth uber-Hogs.) I consider myself a level down from that.

I have been buying Busses since my first BBSH2 in 1994, and have accumulated an estimated 70 or so since then, I would have to take inventory to determine the exact number. The only thing I find remarkable about this is that I am such a financially conservative person that I can't imagine having accumulated all of these great knives, but yet I don't regret it at all. In that 15 years, I have sold one and traded three, all for other Busses. I must also confess to owning four Swamp Rats.

I have been on this forum since sometime in 2002, so I have averaged 1.3 posts per day over 5 years. I have been a vigilant talon hole copyright infringement reporter, a defender in the forums of all things Busse. I have come to take any form of what I consider to be a personal attack on Jerry very personally. Offhand I know of no other product whose maker I feel this way about. I and my family have been the recipients of kindness, empathy and generosity from the Busse family.

I am an unabashed collector, buying safe queens that will never see use during my lifetime. I also have a designated user for every imaginable occasion. However, I still can always rationalize buying another Busse.

As an engineer and former manager of a mechanical and electronic products acceptance test facility, I admire the form, function, and materials of Busse products, and although I know intellectially that there are other outstanding production knives, at some deep level I consider everything else to be inferior to Busse.

But, most importantly of all, I am the father of the second ever formally inducted HOGGETTE!

Tracking down people in parking lots, like an illicit drug or arms deal, to buy some "new" old INFI. Yeah, I think that qualifies. :p
 
You guys dont meet your dealer every friday to see what INFI he's holdin? And you guys call yourself HOGS:p
 
Been told I was a hog by several of my fellow "old guard" hogs. I've been past and back the 20k mark years ago. It's also been said that it's an attitude and I still qualify. To me the ceremony is the "official" induction so at this point maybe I'm just a wannabe;)

I think that if you are trying to claim HOG status just because you want an ASH-1 then you are definitely a HOG!

I think Collector Hog would be the best fit. I have never sold any of my INFI. I did trade one piece away many moons ago and ended up paying a premium to get it back some time later.
