Are you a User or a Collector? or a bit of both?

Hey all, i wanted to make a Poll but i dont see how to do it, ive been wondering how many of you CRK feinds out there use your knives all of them and how many buy stricktly to collect, admire and play with them. Or are some of you a bit of both?

Personally i use all of my CRK's, and if they need some TLC i send em back to the Spa.
 
A bit of both here..Probably close to half.

Basically a user, light user. I do have a Lg and Sm Sebenza and Mnandi of Honduran Rosewood I purchaed as an unused set, so haven't carried them. No matter how nice the knife, I enjoy carrying it.
 
I'm both, but only a collector because I tend to want everything I see that I think is cool, (and I usually buy it) and some of the things I end up buying I cringe at the thought of messing up by using. If I was a billionaire I'd have 5 of everything & use all of them.

But sometimes I just buy two so I can use one & keep one perfect.

Oh and heres a pic of three of mine. Got my fourth, a umnumzaan a few days ago, no pic yet (already dulled the blade :( cutting something at work on a rug, hit the concrete below the 2nd day i had it) will post a pic tomorrow.

Both, I would never hesitate to use ANY of my CRK, but there are some that I just dont carry and basically admire. I cant see putting my gold coin sebenza through edc carry duty when my 25 will do just the same. Having Lost a Large 21 sebenza, I am even more careful with them. But during a holiday or special occasion, they may get carried, but haven't as of yet. I will say that I dont ever remember buying one and saying its a safe queen only to be stored and never handled. I happened upon those 4 special ones and have 3 special ones incoming also. Will they see carry....? Maybe, but never anything close to the others that I do carry often.
 
Use and collect. I rotate 5 Sebenza's for daily use and have some back ups, not that I'll ever need a back up of the 5 I use, it just makes me happy to have them. Then there's the grails, only to be admired and never used.
 
I'm both... I have a small snakewood inlaid that i can't bring myself to use but i rotate through six others for EDC. But even those are used lightly.
 
Collector and user.
If I could only decide between large and small...

Im more a user although i have to admit i have some that get used more than others...
 
I collect and use. I enjoy finding different versions of Sebenzas (inlays) and then adding them into my carry rotation. I don't have any knives that don't get carried and used. With that being said, I am more careful with certain knives like my rare annuals.
 
Definitely both but mostly a user.
I have several that get used as daily knives and I kind of rotate through them. Some others have been daily users that just sit now-but I can't sell them as they've developed sentimental value to me.
I have three Damascus CRK's. Small 21 is a user on small knife days, large 21 occasionally gets carried at a wedding or holiday, and the Mnandi also sees occasional carry at holidays and special occasions.

Other than the small 21 I treat the damascus knives MUCH nicer than I do the other carry knives. Which are usually a Large 21, Large Insingo, and the ever faithful Tanto Zaan.
 
Right now, all users. Including a damascus large seb and a onepiece.

There are a couple on my list that I will buy without hesitation if I ever get a chance and would probably not carry, but otherwise I don't consider myself a collector.
 
I'm a user with collectors taste. I'm currently pocketing a Sacha Thiel Officer and loving it. When I'm carrying a collectable type knife, I do baby it tho. I usually carry a workhorse for the dirty work.

By the way @Lockup1109 I'm familiar with the first two CRKs but what's the story on the mountain scene? I've never wanted a CRK until I just saw that one!
