Just got back from the chiropractor. He took a look at my x-rays and proclaimed that I have a back of a man 30 years older than me. Something-something-L5 disc-something. I asked if that means I can start collecting my pension; he didn't even crack a smile…
 
Some doctors have no sence of humor. I think you need to pay out of pocket for one of those :D

Chiropractors don't get paid to crack smiles.....

and, just a little friendly advice: be careful with chiropractors. I herniated then ruptured my L4-L5 disc, and if I had followed the suggestions of well meaning friends and gone to visit their chiropractor, I might have ended up paralyzed. Just saying - the L4-L5 area is where your sciatic nerve branches and exits the spinal column; there are a LOT of great NON-chiropractic resources for dealing with that area of the body. If the disc is herniated or ruptured, x-rays wouldn't show that - and probably the LAST thing you would want done in that case is to have someone "adjusting" you. That's how mine went from herniated to sploodging out a blob of disc material into my spinal column that squashed up against my sciatic nerve in a most excruciating fashion: an accidental "adjustment" while I was sedated for a colonoscopy.

This is, of course, my opinion - nothing more.
