I know I should open it. I hear they drink well sooner than later, at least their pinots do anyway.

My broham was a member of the Kosta Browne club. I think he was allowed 4-6 bottles a year. It took him years to get in the club. He was friendly enough to share with the Duder. He quit the club though, he said it wasn't worth it for him. In an effort to save money, I try not to talk with him too much about wine. He's really up to date with California's finest.
 
There is just something special about the Arete. I love mine. I mentioned this on another thread but I promised Andy I would do some videos for each of his models that I have. I've included the Arete below alond with a photo. It's gold dyed, stabilized spalted black ash burl (say that five times fast) with 3/32 O1 and tapered tang and a beauty mark.

Wow, Rusty! That is an amazing knife. I think 3/32nd scandi + TT & thick handles is my dream configuration for that model right now. Seems the perfect configuration for a carving knife, as you say in the video.

Hey All:

What was mistaken as Bocote on my Arete is actually Cocobolo. No wonder Will didn't jump on it ;)

Very nice Nutramac! That would compliment my bocote collection quite nicely. Let me know if you ever decide to sell.
