Arkansas Custom Knife Show 2008

Oh yeah. Mr. White and a few other friends were nice enough to invite me along. It a little scary, this is the first time I've ever flown to a show. I hope to have a couple nice pieces there.

Look forward to seeing you again Danbo!

Here's one I'm planning on bringing, I had this monster in my head and had to get it out...

Here's one that I already posted a couple of weeks ago, that's going to
Littlerock. Oh and I have another one that's just too sweet I call it the Black mamba it also has a African blackwood handle with 200 nickle & 1018 w pattern fittings. The blade is a two bar turkish twist damascus that I haven't hot blued yet. I'll send pictures of it later.

Gee's, what's with all the African Blackwood and Ebony we are seeing these days? Don't you guys know this stuff is becoming extinct in Africa? ;):D:D:)

But seriously John, this is an outstanding piece. Everything I said about Lin's applies here as well.

I will definitely make Arkansas next year as the show date will be far from San Antone's ABS show date.
Hey Kevin......I have a chunk of JET black African blackwood that is almost as thick as a 4 x 4 and 24 inches long:D We have been mugging unsuspecting bagpipe makers in Glasgow:thumbup:
Great knives, guys. Mr. White......that is a bit different than what I have seen from you in the past. VERY cool:D

I have two on my site but cant post them here. If someone would lift them and post them up I would appreciate it. The B&T is not engraved yet.

February 23 & 24 at the Robinson Center Exhibit Hall (424 W. Markham) or follow the link above for more details.

A few from Jerry Fisk. The descriptions are from Jerry's website.

"The San Mai steel blade show here is forged with an L6 steel core with 1084 for the outside skins. This is the first San Mai blade that I have successfully patterned. Several failed in the attempt to accomplish this so I dont know if there will be many of this type. The blade is 4 1/2 inches long and the whole thing weighs approx 4 ounces. The handle is sheep horn with the stainless mountings being engraved with beading and the running wheat pattern on the guard and flower looking things on the pins."

"This is the last bit of a billet I welded up for the Micro show this past October. This is a three piece blade and it has a right hand, left hand twist stacked on top of each other and welded and I cut the wolf tooth on the bottom billet. This will be a very nice Bird and Trout. I put the photo up here though I still have to do the engraving on it. I will be doing that for the next week or so. Sambar stag handle and stainless mountings. This ought to be real nice to whup out for that special hunt or occasion

Beautiful work as always, Jerry, and neat steel.
Just in from the shop, working on a couple knives a little different from usual, hopefully to post next week. Meanwhile, something familiar:10 inches of 1084 and Stag

Roger,
Thanks for the help. I shot at it again and hit it the second time. Computers are dangerous game for me.
John

Really like the Fisk bird and trout! That would be a nice one to have to whip out as needed.

Tremendous stag bowie, John! Glad to see some of your great work showing up here. Look forward to seeing you in Little Rock.

- Joe

Beautiful lines and stag John. Looks like you have some good stuff going on with the guard/ferrule and buttcap too from what I can see.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this one. Feel I will most definitely make Arkansas next year.
