Amazing knives displayed in this thread demonstrating why this show is among the top customs shows in the world.

This thread is loaded with Gorgeous work....Thanks to all the makers for posting !

I got this one done just before I dragged out my suitcase. Its a small "Swayback wharnie" slippie with Bohler D2 blade and spring, 416 stainless bolsters and Big Rick carbon fiber scales.

Nice knives, but per "demonstrating why this show is among the top customs shows in the world", this show is very centered on the forged blade and traditional patterns and construction. I've been to the AK show, and IMHO, it's a good show, but needs more variety to be world class. For example, Birch and Crawford don't attend, both are close to Little Rock, but they don't make traditional blades. Plus, there are at most one or two people from OCONUS, thus it can't be "world" class :)

Thank You guys for the fine compliments.

This is my second time at this show and hopefully I'll get around to see some makers this year. Last year left me stuck at my table nearly the whole weekend. With so many folks through the door thats a sign of a healthy knife show. Travel safe everybody, see you there.

I agree the AKA may not be considered a “world Class” knife show, in a sense that it’s not representative of a broad worldwide sampling of knifemakers or knife styles. However, in regard to the quantity and caliber of custom knifemakes on hand, quality of custom knives, quantity of custom knives sold, custom knife enthusiast attendance, overall attendee experience and significance to custom knives in general, how could you not rate it as one of the top custom knife shows in the world?

Here's a couple more. Still have an integral w2 fighter with stag to finish tonight.

Big Rick's CF, twist.

I've run out of superlatives so I will simply say, "Well done, everyone!". Today, I finally finished all that I have been working on and am looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow before driving to Little Rock on Friday.

I will have a friend with me this weekend who has never been to a knife show before. ;) He's in for a treat. With him there
maybe I will have a chance to get away from my table occasionally in order to have a closer look at all of this eye candy that is going to be there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Gary
