Arkansas Custom Knife Show 2013 - Show Us what you Got

LOOK, it's just not fair I'm telling ya! Here I am on the other side of the globe and all I can do is see these absolutely fabulous works of sharp art here on the forum. I'm just about to chuck a huge wobbly because I cannot attend, SWMBO said so!!!! Honestly, it looks like its going to be an epic show. Wish everyone who is attending agreat show.
Cheers Keith

Tad Lynch,
You're knockin' it outa the park with those ladder patterns. I had to put my sunglasses on because of all that shimmer in the fighter blade.

Well, you should definitely make plans to attend the show sometime in the next couple of years Keith...Little Rock isn't a HUGE show, but some of the best makers out there attend and most of them bring their A-Game! If you dig on badass bowie knives, that's definitely the place to be!

Now...I've been scratching my head for a minute or two and I can't figure it out so I'll just go ahead and ask. What exactly happens if you chuck a huge wobbly?..is that like pitching a big fit? I've never heard that one before, but it sounds interesting! :)

Making the trip to Australia would be worth the $ just to pick up on some of the awesome lingo!!

Here's a couple great looking fighters from Tommy Gann:

You hit the nail on the head with that Michael ! We do have a way with words thats for sure? If you ever get the chance to come down under you have a place to stay mate. Yep I'll just have to save up and get there oneday.
Cheers Keith

The pace is fast and furious now - lovin it! Joel - I really dig that little pearl folder - sweet.

Thanks Ron And Roger. Great looking knives from everyone, I really like those Tommy Gann knives, this show really has some quality knives, as Michael said everyone is bringing their "A" game. Hope everyone has a safe trip.

Good lookin folders Joel!

This is my last knife to post up for the Arkansas show. This is an all integral piece I geared up to put in the "Best pearl Knife" award categroy at the Arkansas show this weekend. It's got a 5 bar Turkish twist blade that's 5-1/8" long with an overall of 9-3/4".

The spiral inlay challenged me immensely and added grey hairs to my head for sure. The most difficult inlay I've ever done. I thought the black lip pearl really dressed up the colorful white pearl once finished. Coin gold pins attach the inlayed scales. There's quite a bit of shimmer in the steel.

The hardest thing about the inlaying is that my handmade plastic and epoxy pantograph patterns were very sensitive to temperature changes and the spiral tips actually would get cold on some days and shrink and coil up tighter, then the spiral tips woiuld heat up and expand to a larger spiral on warmer days. :grumpy: Never again is all I can say. Paul Long did a cool lizard skin inlayed sheath with the same spiral effect. Thanks for looking.

Pardon my friench.....but Bloody Hell that's amazing.

Tad, Fantactic pair of knives, but I gotta say the DI Bowie/Fighter is awesome and would be an asset to any collection!!

This heavy duty Bowie is the last one for me to finish for the show and going to be my competition cutter on Friday. The blade is 400 layers of 1084 & 15N20 and the handle a walnut burl.
