I'm still working on something special but here are part of what will be on my table for the show:

There's a whole lotta classic bowie goodness going on in that photo:thumbup:
Darcy:)

It will be my first time at the Arkansas Show and I'm really looking forward to it. Here's one i
I'm bringing;

Feather Bowie
12” Casey Feather Damascus Blade. 17.5” OAL. Damascus guard. Sculpted bronze spacer and pommel by David Riccardo. Mammoth Ivory handle. Comes with a Larry Parsons sheath (not pictured).
This is the largest feather blade I have made to date. Over the 12” length of the blade there are 6600 layers of steel and NI. This is a knife that must be seen and handled to appreciate its size and details of the steel and engraving.

Thanks, Don. I'll have a couple of modern knives there but as you can see I've been influenced a lot by the old makers. I'm working on one now that will require some foundry work which I haven't tried before so wish me luck.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll be bringing this year. ;) Somehow I'm guessing that it will have some killer mastodon on it.

Kevin,

I'm looking forward to seeing you there. David, Chuck & the rest of the AKA know how to put on a good time. It has been my favorite show for many years.

Love the feather! Nice work.

Gary, that group of 6 knives is just beautiful!

I just finished this one and snapped a couple shots. I will have some pro photos done soon. At this point I intend to have it on my table in Little Rock.

The blade is 11-1/2 of my Damascus, the rest is 416 and African Blackwood. I forged the guard and another couple parts. The Iron Mistress is the inspiration for this knife. I call it the Southern Mistress. It has a few common features with the movie knife but you can see my own taste in it I'm sure.

Thanks, Lin. I've been waiting to see how yours with the ball tip guard turned out. Very Nice! I was hoping that you would have it in Little Rock so I can get a close-up look. :) An early entry for "Bowie of the Year".

What a bowie bonanza!

Don Hanson just sent these photos and said I could post them for Arkansas Show. He just completed this one for me to pick up in Little Rock. The Walrus was a piece I bought from Mark Knapp and talked to Don at the Fisk Micro show about doing something with it. Being new to big knives I told him to surprise me, saying only that I like camp style bowies. This blade is a unique design for Don (he can add comments about differences). He said he is sending it to Paul Long for sheath and it will be on his table in LR.

Question: Does two Bowies make me a collector?

That's a sweet one, Mark. Don did his usual exceptional job both with the construction and the design as well. I'm eager to get a close look at it.
I've always been a big Bowie fan and the best of them show up each year at this show.

And Mark, two Bowies does make you a collector. :) We may make you a big knife guy yet.
