Arno Bernard iMamba praise

Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery No I haven't dissassembled, cleaned and oiled it yet. I haven't felt the need to at this point. That's saying quite a bit though because I almost always take a knife all the way down when I get it, clean it all up and lightly lube it. It came extremely smooth so I'll wait until it's seen some more carry time and needs it a bit. That's good to know that it has loose bearings before hand! I can see a very frustrating time playing through my head if I didn't know to have a tray ready haha. Man that Rinkhals is beautiful!

B Bad Matt Oh man, that warthog tusk inlay is something else... Beautiful! I suppose I could have gone either way on the inlay and be just as happy though. Nice little video!

grybsh7 grybsh7 Whew, that thing is a looker! Is that the kudu bone? That thing is beautiful! I would absolutely love to get a Rinkhals one day too. If I were to get a small knife in that class, I'd have a hell of a time deciding between the Rinkhals and a Mnandi.

Murphjd25 Murphjd25 Glad you were able to get one! That's part of the reason I wanted to make this thread was because I wanted to share my iMamba while there were still a few floating around in case someone wanted to get one before it was too late. I think you'll really like it!

New favorite knife alert!

Just received this beauty today, thanks again to badmatt badmatt for the tip on where to get one. I picked up a maple burl version after a lot of internal deliberation - mostly cause the Arno website doesn't even list Maple Burl as an option there, so I felt like it was a bit of a risk, but I was hoping for something unique. I love it!

The greens and golds and browns... and the depth of the inlays is incredible in person.

And the action of the knife is brilliant out of the box - detent seems perfectly tuned, and the blade flies out of the handle. I was a little surprised (in a good way) about the size of the knife - I had definitely read comments that said it was sized like a Sebenza "medium" but until I had it in hand I didn't realize what that would actually be like. I'm definitely more of a small Sebenza guy versus a large, so this is slightly larger than I'm used to but it feels very very nice in hand.

Love the leather lanyard on it too.

C celticrogues Oh boy, that thing is a looker! I don't think I've seen a maple burl one before, thats awesome. When I was choosing which one to get, that desert ironwood kept calling my name. They do amazing work on their inlays. Glad you found one man and hope you get many, many moons of enjoyment out of it. It'd be cool to see all our imambas a little later on down the line when they start getting some good patinas.

Does anyone know of any international dealers?
Thanks 🙂

You can buy direct also.

Yea I did notice that. I assumed the same as you, the 97th imamba of 2022. However I dont know if that means the 97th all Ti (no inlays) iMamba or the 97th iMamba period. I kind of think it's the 97th iMamba period this year since they seem pretty dang scarce except for this run that we all got in on. I've been looking for one for about 6-8 months and this was for sure the only run hes made in that time.
Is this the build year and serial number? Any of you guys notice this?

Mine is 21-141. Surprised that it's been sitting on the shelf so long if its a 2021 build, but maybe it didn't ship out until recently?

The serial numbers are in succession no matter if they are inlay’s or PJ’s.
The serial numbers start back at 001 when a new year starts.

So Murphjd25 Murphjd25 is the 97th iMamba of 2022
And C celticrogues has the 141st iMamba of 2021

Hope this helps.
