Around-The-House knives

If you mean the little Fixed Blade, it is a small florists' knife made by Oasis

One of the old ones, from Solingen, not the modern versions with inferior steel and sub par construction and materials

Hard to find an original, but some folks in this forum have the good old ones as well and maybe could help you out

Excellent lightweight blade with ultra thin grind, terrific slicer. Better than my Opinels, even though saying this is sacrilege here on BF.

I made an ultra simple sheath for it and carry it in my EDC bag. Ideal for food prep, like the Hold Out I, as the forumite above me said.

I usually carry a small fixed blade by Dan Graves. Perfect for medium to small cutting chores.

My father in law usually uses his Cutco Ulitmate Fisherman's solution fillet knife for cutting up cantalope and watermelon. They also use Rada a lot so I got a small Rada paring and smaller Santoku type utility knife for my daughter at home.

I was talking about the little yellow handled fixed blade. Thanks for the info. Looks super handy as a utility knife.

Razor Blade knife made by Stanley , I keep a Rough Rider Hawkbill in the Garage along with another Sears Craftsman retractable razor blade knife. I keep a few pocket Knifes in my bucket boss coffee cup on my side table beside my Chair.

I have all my folders in a shoe box in a shelf in one of the rooms, so they are always within easy reach. Fixed blades are a bit more out of hand.

Actually my only use of folders or fixed blades at home is using the saw from a SAK or Leatherman to score a circle arround the coconuts before smacking them with a hammer to open them in half (and keeping the halves intact). Other than that, I use kitchen cutlery or the ocasional disposable utility knife. Oh! And cutting off tags from clothing if I happen to be in my room at the time!

I live in an apartment, so I don't have a garden to care or wild animals to fend off with my blades.

I have a Gerber Applegate/Fairburn Combat Folder Limited anniversary edition with partially Serrated S30V blade and green Micarta handles that I never take out of the house, as it has no real practical use for me. It is just one of those knives that I find fun to play with when sitting around the house. It's probably never contributed to any cutting chores in the time I've had it, but I still like it. I just enjoy it's hand-filling size and loud thwack sound it makes when opening.

Oh, I forgot. I "rotate" this knives around the house or when in pants. They sit in a box nearby, always at hand.

They're just budget folders I scrape, pry, stab ice, etc. with.

They were amongst my first blades, when budget was really tight and I was starting to discover the folding knife world, and now they're just beaters.
