Arriving Grab Bags from Christmas in July 2021

This Proto is so sweet, I’m almost okay with not getting a sword or Forsaken Mistress.

That's a Syko Seax if I ever saw one. Gorgeous blade shape!

I just got home after driving 9 hours and the first thing I did was to handle the knives. From the pictures I thought that I would like the AR9.5, but after handling the SYKO Proto, I immediately changed my mind. I absolutely love the handle and the blade.

That being said, does anyone know what steel the Proto are? Info or SR101? Might have to wait for someone from Busses to weigh in.

Unless marked INFI or otherwise, I'm pretty sure all SYKCO knives are SR101. Awesome knife mate.

The only Res-C handles I have held are the Alpha Regulator 9.5” and this Shipyard Proto. While I really like both of them, I think I prefer the Regulator’s (mount up) handle. Time & use will tell.

Same here. This is my first experience with Res-C. I'll handle both blades more tomorrow. I'm thinking of how to patina the Proto... although that might be sacrilege!

Blade Length: Approx. 6 3/16” (.1875”)
Blade Width At Center Peak Of Blade: Approx. 1 11/16” (.6875”)
Overall Length: Approx. 11 3/8” (.375”)
Thickness: Approx. 3/16" (.1875”)

I’m calling it the Viking Shipyard.

Perfect!!
Thanks!

That Seax may be the predecessor of the DB-721.

I love the Wharncliffe shape. Hopefully the release so close to the bag snag. Won't deter further release's with a similar profile. Still on the fence about ordering one. Waiting on my bag snag...

Every time I see a new Bussekin, my mind comes up with a reason to get it. I could see myself using the DB-721 as a kitchen cleaver, but that's the insane part of my mind trying to convince me.

Pretty happy with my 1K box. Looks alot like ScoMa's. I don't know what everything is. Elmax slicer; looks like a camo Ratmandu only it's about .25" thick; a proto SYKCO; and what I can only guess is an INFIweiler with what I think are camo G-10 scales. Any clarifications are appreciated. Hope everyone else has as good luck as I did! 4 Busses.jpgElmax.jpgFat mandu-ish.jpgSYKCO Proto.jpgINFI Weiler-ish.jpg
