Hello dear friends,
With God's good will today i managed to finish a special piece - an Artisan Chef that has lots to prove both by look and also by performance - hope you enjoy it at least as much as i do
The combination of fine materials and techniques applied makes it a luxurious piece that would be worthy of any high end kitchen - it will make work easy and the chef proud and happy!
Specs are as follows:
- blade is made using 1/8 26c3 high carbon steel (spicy white), with a full flat grind and a gorgeous hand sanded hamon
- handle is in itself a small jewel - having a base of black canvas micarta and milled pockets Desert Ironwood bolsters (in a presentation grade with deep gold patterns)
- fittings are threaded stainless steel
- the 'saya' is a hybrid made using some gorgeous plum heartwood that features fantastic colors for the sides and a dry oak middle layer for a slight contrast and more complexity
- the 'saya pin' is also an eye catching piece featuring matching materials and intricate construction/finishing
