I know he would probably prefer me not saying so in public but I just gotta do it anyway. I have never met Art but I am VERY impressed! He contacted me a while back about a question I had asked of our mutual friend Dexter. I was looking for reasonably priced knifes that could take a beating if given to other missionaries here to help in the work. Many times that involves a real beating since part of the job is disaster relief. He shared that he wanted to send a Buck/Strider spearpoint he had just acquired as a gift for whoever needed it. Then he changed his mind and decided to send the Buck and a Spyderco Chinook!!:eek: :D :eek: My wife's sister just visited to bring those two blades down here and they are in PERFECT condition and are destined for workers who need them.
I just gotta say that I was floored with Art's generosity and encouraged by person living out his faith!

Thanks fellas'! I truly appreciate it. I appreciate more the fact that some great pieces of cutlery will be in the hands of some folks who will put them through the wringer! Plus the fact that these pieces of cutlery will be helping to build the Kingdom. Call me old-fashioned, or call me what you will, but when the Lord says give up those two knives.............what choice do you have, you give them up! It is such a small thing for Him to ask of me.

Again, call me old-fashioned, but when God has done for me the things He has, and I do not deserve one little bit of the blessings He has given, then it is such a small, small thing for me to do.

J-man, get some pics up when you can of the knives in action! I bet these fellows might be able to teach Cliff a thing or two!:eek: :D ;) :)

I heartily agree with all that ya said! We thought being down here was a small thing to ask too! I'll get some pics to ya as soon as I can . . . too bad that there is not a ROTFLOL icon!:D ;) :D
