Does the stipper not hurt the scales? I have been curious about this as I watch you guys strip your blades. Outstanding job by the way!

Hey IJ--There have been numerous tests with stripper and Micarta, and the Micarta is never damaged. Some guys have left the handle in stripper for extended periods of time and it just comes right off. Micarta is tough stuff.:eek: Tyrkon's handles are G10 and I'm guessing it's just as hearty. Someone will be along soon to confirm or correct that.

Tyr, did you use the ScotchBrite flap wheels that you talked about before? Can you post a link with a pic of those wheels? That finish looks really nice. Great work.

Thanks for all the feedback. I am very happy with the outcome. Especially since this is my user.

When I get home, or some time this weekend, I'll do a quick vid to demonstrate the process I used to to this for those that are interested. Very simple to do. Which is a plus in my book. :D
