Gotta admit the Ash2 wasn't very sharp at all upon receiving it. But Ill swear just a FEW strokes on the sharpmaker and she will slice now lol.....really lovin me some ash2.

I must say that this is now my favorite knife I own. Cannot wait to get this baby outdoors and see what she can do! Thanks to everyone for their comments, and "convincing me" to buy this beautiful piece. Now, to stop thinking about the CGFBM...

Leprechaun CGFBM! Even better! I cannot wait to see your 16 yr pics! Let me know if your storage space gets too crowded!;)

The NMFSH and CGFBM are actually pretty darned similar. The NMFSH is thicker, full-flat ground, and a drop point, where the CGFBM is thinner, CBT and saber grind, with a clip point. My brother chose his FBM, while I chose the NMFSH.

Here's a picture of my brother's back when he still had all three blades. I bought his Battle Saw and BIG NMFSH, and moved them along to some other HOGS.

FBM clearly the best looking blade out there.

SpyderPhreak, Thanks for the great pic and comparison! I didn't realize they were that similar in size! It does at least slow down my "need" for the CGFBM for now, but I'll still probably get one in the future if the opportunity for the right one arises.

I didn't either until my brother got that FBM awhile back. Stats on paper and pics only do so much until you have both in-hand. Very similar, but still different. I'd honestly be happy with either.
