Just a quick heads up. In sharpening knives I've been pretty lucky in not having been bitten. Until last night. I decided that an ASH 1 was my next guest in the chamber of "gettin'fukin'sharp". He wanted to prove I did a good job. He bit me. I was flattered.

Fires = ASH Andy. Let's start fires. And Noxious... The ASH I was bitten by wasn't the best deal for me. I won't be able to sell it for the $450 I have in it.

Someone dyed the scales. Took em off. I don't know how to get the dye out. My hands keep turning black from handling em. Gah. I suppose I could just hockey tape the hell out of the handle. Maybe truck bed line the metal....

I hate blades from eBay.......

You could send the knife to GARTH for new scales. More $ for sure, but the end of your frustration. You would, finally, have the knife you deserve

An 8 inch ASH would be OK... call it what they will, NOTHING will surpass the original as it is the proportions of that blade that make it for me.... so....BRING IT ON !!

The couch beats the outside doghouse, especially at this time of year!


I feel if there was a regular and a long version ASH, along with skinny, medium and fat, there would be something for just about everyone. :thumbup:
