Do you mean like the old black canvas micarta that had a greenish-gray/black color to it, or green linen micarta? Green linen micarta looks stunning on some grips that display the different colors.

Whatever was on the SHSHIIs like the one I have, I really like that combo. Has a greenish tint with a few small verticle lines in the handles on either side of the bolts. Actually, id love just a remake of this same knife!

That is black canvas micarta on your SHSHII; the color of it from Busse has varied over time (from different suppliers maybe?) - some has the greenish tint you noted and some is much more gray. I had 2 Steel Heart-Ergo knives; the grips on one had the slight greenish color and a later one had the more gray color (both were considered to be black canvas micarta).

I have an ASHley to play with. She's nice to me for aaaallllllll the wrong reasons. She can't baton wood for shit, but... She's less expensive than an ASH1 and... Wait..... Ummmm... Yeah. Sooooo
