We now have a new Ashokan website, however the webmaster of that site has the dates off by one day:

super! thanks for letting us know!

You may want to check the link though Kevin. It looks like you left the extra http when you added it.

Thanks

Hey Kevin, I didn't see the fee structure listed

Yeah, that....

Page has to make sure he can set aside enough extra cash for the surgery he'll need after swinging a hammer the way he does :D

I'm looking forward to it for sure....I just hope I can get some stuff done in time to bring...

I just got the write up done, Tim Neu normally uses my write up for the printed flyers that include the registration form and fees, so I may have to ask for a quick version of the rough draft that includes those parts and get it posted as soon as I can. I would expect the fees to be very similar to last years as well as the registration information.

For those wanting to get to it ASAP there is a link to the Ashokan Center's web site on my page that will give you all the contact information for Tim. I am certain he would be happy to start getting calls for registration right away.

Man, I'm definitely excited! My sword's almost finished, I have a few pieces for show'n'tell and cannot wait for some the demos / lectures!

Not that I am trying to stall or anything  but since 2010 is the sword themed event, I can't help but wonder if it would be more suited for this contest to run next year?

I just got a really sick idea for a contest for next year.

First rule: Stacy Apelt is the judge.

Second rule: Two handed sword any culture.

And the final rule: Maximum blade length of 2 inches!

Have I finally lost my mind?

Dan, time for the kids to pick out a retirement home, I think you've gone nuts :D

Sam, I think your right! This would be better suited for next year.
As one of the guys who started the unofficial challenges I have some issues with this.
I don't think this should be judged by anyone other than the participants themselves.....

Fair enough Mace -- I just wanted to move Stacy out of the running so that there would be a competition :)
