I have gotten the official class schedule for this year's Ashokan Seminar. The registration page is not yet up but here is what we are doing

One minor detail I have to check on, I believe that I will actually be teaching the knife photography class in the lecture room not in the pavilion where the forging is.:)

This is just out to us so far. The link isn't up on New England Bladesmiths yet. Page or I will post the registration link as soon as we get it.

Nice Page, that'll be a help with the photography! bringing much in the way of kit for that?

my plan is to bring the basic pro kit (strobes diffesers etc) and a low budget kit (hardware store lights with daylight balance bulbs, shower curtaim plastic) and show how to get good photos with both

It would be awesome if someone was video taping and posting these videos.

I'd especially like to hear:
A Knife Buyers Perspective II - Roger Pinnock, Peter Gill Lecture

Knife Photography – Page Steinhardt Pavilion

Are Buyers of Handmade Knives Schmucks? I and II - Brian Lyttle Lecture
catchy title

They video tape many of the class/lectures and sell the videos for $5. Check with Tim Zowada, or Page and see who handles the sales.

Page,
Has anyone put up a registration site yet...or sent out registration fliers?
It is two months away, and the NEBG site still has last years registration info on it.

Since I can't go :( I'll be buying a few of these if available. At least the ones Sam mentioned.

I'm not 100% sure if I can make it this year or not, but I'll be trying my darnedest to do so. I might not be able to get the time off work since i'm taking several days off the week before and several days off the week after for other activities .

Justin,
You need to take care of what is important........so cancel one of those other days off!

Woohoo! I'm making it to ashokan again this year =)

Bumping this as well as a reminder to others, that registration time is running out !

Very cool!
Maybe I'm just supposed to know where it is, but the actual location is kind of hard to find on the site...
The only description is text embedded in an image which is a link to another site.

BTW, the location sounds awesome, just north of the Gunks where I used to climb...

daizee,
It is a bit hard to find, but the directions on the site will get you there. Not every map quest or GPS will take you the simple way.

Justin,
Good news....,only one think to decide now - Kilts or lederhosen for Saturday afternoon? I'm thinking lederhosen in honor of Oktoberfest.
