You know those thoughts that just pop into your head about knives? What, you can't tell me you don't daydream about knives once in a while! Okay, maybe it's just me
But I got to thinking about all the many knives I have, or have had over the years and why I liked a particular knife at that time, or why my preferences have changed through the years. I was also wondering why I have so many (actually right now I have waaay less than I used to)
It got me to thinking about what other piece of gear that I have too much of. It would be weird to have 20 different sleeping bags, or 15 tents, 27 pairs of hiking boots, you get the point. I know there is a recurring theme among knife nuts with watches and flashlights too though.
But I realized I have about 15 to 20 different hats that are just my bummin around the woods hats. Doesn't even include regular baseball caps and beanies either, which I also have way too many of. But I have about 7 or 8 GI boonie hats in a variety of colors, a tin cloth hat from Filson, several types of straw hats, a variety of other canvas and cloth fishing hats, and my Real Deal tarp hat (all time favorite so far)
So as I watch the clock tick the last few minutes until the whistles blows, I wondered what other gear addictions people have? (And if anyone does have 27 pairs of hiking boots, your secret is safe here!)
