Aside from knives, what other outdoor gear do you have too much of?

Also space blankets. I've got a couple in each pack, plus a couple in each vehicle. They're so light and take up so little space (and I got a big bunch of them for free a few years ago) that it's kind of hard not to throw a few here and there.

Camp cookpots. I must have about 15 different pots, different sizes and materials. It hard to find something that works in a diversity of circumstances, packs and for different people....

I have about 5 packs but they are all different sizes and seem to work in compliment rather than redundant. I have a bunch of tarps but they are again different sizes, weights and materials which allows versatility. I think my knives are the most redundant in the sense of having many that will basically suit the same needs. Still my knife collection is only around 20 or so. Not to bad among the folks around this place.

Packs, bags and pouches.

I have 8 packs, 3 duffles, 2 aircrew bags. The aircrew bags and one duffle bag are filled with assorted pouches, sleeping bag carriers, etc.

I also have about 20 1 qt canteens -- 12 are complete kits with cup and stove, and 8 2 qt canteens. I like water.

Then there's 5 ponchos -- all GI woodland, but I'm not sure that's excessive. . .

Hatchets/tomahawks ,machetes ,flashlight/headlamps ,pouches/bags ,fishing stuff and by no means to many guns or knives that isn`t possible.

Pouches, because its hard to know what they will be like until you use them. Also my collection of jackets dwarfs my otherwise spartan wardrobe.

I have more gear than skills right now. Don't laugh, I am more than overcompensated with knives. I have two backpacks, a no name camo model that I have been meaning to turn into a BOB for my truck, and a Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon. I have gotten rid of a lot of flashlights, just a G2, G3 and Stylus pen light. I have quite a few strikers, but they get used. Commercially sold fatwood tinder, two Otter boxes.

Yep, more gear than skills...

Bags and pouches for me. Whittling it down slowly though.

Bows, as in arrow-launching devices. I was bitten by the traditional archery bug several years ago, and I currently have 5 high dollar handmade recurves hanging on the wall. Before that, I was into competitive compound archery, and I had as many or more compounds at any given time (I work for a company that makes compound bow parts, and made their own bows before that). I guess I've had at least 25 different recurves since 2000, and have probably owned 60 or more bows since '93, besides all the releases, sights, arrow-rests, arrows, and other assorted stuff that goes with them.

I have way too many jackets... I can't help when I see a cool jacket I have to have it.. Carhartt, motorcycle, leather, lightweight, heavy winter... too many jackets..

Just remembered that I have about five or so "boonie" hats. An REI Tilley style hat, a generic no name fishermans bucket hat, a Filson hat, a Dorfman Scala outback hat, a Columbia mad bomber hat. Too much.

rope and ripcord, it's everywhere. to many flashlights too, every time a higher lumen led comes out, i salivate, it's the damnedest thing.
