As for my father-in-law, I did ask him though, his reply would get me banned from the site. He tried to talker her out of marring me right before he walked her down the isle. If I remember correctly it went some thing like "you still have time to leave". 14 years and two kids later (every one we knew gave us 6 months) we are still crazy about each other (crazy being the key word there, lol).
He lives with us now and he has learned to deal with the fact that his little girl grew up and is a woman, a wife and a mother.
If there is only one bit of serious advice I can give you and your bride to be, is that if you can deal with the stress of planing a wedding you can deal with almost anything. Just remember it is the TWO of you, your a team now.
