Did some work on the handles today.
Had an evening meeting at school, so didn't get near as far as anticipated.
I started out sawing off the corby bolts with a hacksaw.
I hate using a saw.
No pics of the post-sawing handle for fear of losing some dignity. Let's just say it wasn't pretty.
But I used the trusty old file to shape the handles.
Took a little longer than I imagined, but it was very enjoyable to sculpt the micarta and watch minuscule layers come off.
Tomorrow, hopefully, I will finish the handles, make a sheath and sharpen the knife, and get some decent photos using my mom's fancy camera. (hopefully)
