I understand what you're saying, and don't necessarily disagree. Being unfit should mean the end of your genetic material.

However, it does rather sound like someone drumming up a story, news being created by those who should just be reporting it.

I agree, but I watch the news for entertainment. If I really wanted to see what was happening in the world, I'd go out and look around. But I don't care as long as I can breathe, eat, drink, pee, and crap, and none of the stuff on TV happens to me, I'm happy.

Apparently Harper's grace is somewhat less extensive than that offered by we forumites to one another, and certainly not in the same breath as the Lord's.

That he could be so stunned by 'bigoted and just plane stupid' posts in this thread makes one wopnder where he's been spending his life. The 'bigotry and stupidity' here certainly no greater than that of the larger society and in most cases less. I think you meant 'plain, not 'plane', but I could be stupid about that. We 'plainly' got your meaning, anyway; that you don't like us and wish to leave. Please.

Spectre, before things tightened in Calif my Boss used to sell a lot of weapons in bulk to Mexican Nationals. A 'lot' means 20 or so- the only 'reporting' he did to the BATF was the standard forms. Things may have changed. I used to joke we were suppliying the Revolution....
He even called to make sure this was OK- no problem. This would have been 1993 to 4.

The Assault Weapons Ban had nothing to do with full auto weapons. Full autos were severely restricted in 1934 by the National Firearms Act (NFA). The AWB was concerned with cosmetic features such as a flash hider, a bayonet lug or pistol grip stock.

Not too many people do drive-by bayonettings anymore. :p
 
The term 'auto' has also been additionally confused by 'auto' loading- as when the 1911 and others arrived upon the scene.

Still, it's sad knowing there are persons out there who think gun owners of firearms with military cosmetic features are going around blowing things up, or as I read in an Ed McBain novel of an AK47 - 'it cut the top off the shubbery as neatly as if being pruned."

I stopped reading McBain.

Well, TV is always a reliable outlet for information, never any agendas, or bs...;)
