Anyone here any info regarding this website ? I came across it & the products seem
to look good, but the owner(s)?? seem maybe to have a little attitude??
Anyone care to comment good, bad, ugly/and or otherwise.

They are a order-taking front for RoadsideImports LLC: :thumbdn:

They mask their true identity by the method that they have their domain purchased, the underlying info is locked. Good companies always advertise who they are, lots of contact info and non of the secretive BS this place is displaying.

Check these out:

If you need to purchase auto knives, we have a section right here on this forum. I also have some auction sites where you can buy quality merchandise.

There's and understatement for sure. :D

He do seem to have some issues.

The comments I've seen are mostly "ok" from those who have dealt with him.
EDIT: Scales have been tipped the other direction.

I've avoided him, because the "vibe" he gives off is just too negative.

As csiz mentioned, scan the Automatics thread and you'll find seveal dealers mentioned repeatedly with an excellent rep. Like BladeHQ/BladePlay.

i've used this fellow a couple of times and had no issues. his attitude is not for most folks. that said he does send the items in a timely manner and no items i got had any issues, so i didn't have to deal with any customer service stuff, so i cannot comment on that aspect of his business, which i believe is where allot of the bad feedback comes from.

it's a legit business, in that he stocks items and sends them when you pay him....and not a scam of any sorts. now as far as customer appreciation, well that's another matter. i've asked the fellow questions and got answers back quickly and he was quite pleasant to me, across the board....but some have had a very different experience.... but i didn't have any issues, so......

i actually asked him before buying what the deal was why so many on the forums members have such a bad view of him, and his answer was and i'm paraphrasing....most that slammed him have never bought anything from him and the few that did bought a cheap chinese product that broke after awhile and they didn't like his cheap sh*t warning...and went to the forums to whine over a 20 dollar items, etc....

so that was his take on it, but then again he was banned here for fighting and bad attitude and crazy ramblings....and such i assume....i never read the massive ramblings on this site on what actually got him banned, but i use him for certain things and lots of other places for other things. depends on the items and how much customer service i want to get, and prices, and who's got it in stock of course.

remember in this hobby, we all tend to be extreme nit pickers due to the hobby itself. i have seen the trait in my other hobbies on forums for firearms, mechanical chronographs and complications watch collecting, records, guitars, and on and on.

back to the vendor....personally i had no issues on three transactions...but it' s a buyer beware scenario. my three good experiences, doesn't mean you won't get a nightmare. that potential exists and every person has their own perceptions of good and bad.....just read through some of those long thread on the g,b,u forum and very quickly you realize why being in business...which i am but not in the knives industry is such a hard deal.

to clarify....most folks if you do the right thing and price competitively will appreciate the work you do, and feel they got a good or at the minimum a fair deal...... but some out there....and there are more than a large handful on these forums.....even if you gave them the items for free and did everything possible to cater to them....they would still complain and scream at you, and shred you publicly, and gather their cattle/followers to come after you....so....i'll leave it at that.

note: this is a touchy subject......i have tried to as honest as i could with my experiences as well as brings other's bad experiences, which i didn't have...... into my post.....and explain the bad attitude and bad/non-existant customer service some have had with this fellow. so before calling me a fan boy.... which i am not of any vendor or product......i call it as i see it, which many do not on here. please re-read my entire post(which seems to be the flaw in most members who like to attack others blindly) and realize stating facts and truth is not justification for being attacked. thank you in advance for being decent on your counter points and for using your heads and thinking like an individual instead of being part of the cattle stampede that happens often on here. i reserve the right to delete my post, by forum rules, as i'm not in the mood for attacks and nonsense from a few bad apples who just like to pick fights online, but not face to face i'll bet.

yep, agree these guys are always on my short list of my first place to pick when looking for an item. excellent to deal with and if customer service is first on you list of wants...you won't be let down. good suggestion, imho.

I guess I am the only one that gets a kick out of his attitude. A friend of mine purchased a knife from him (a knife I didn't carry nor did I intend to ever carry) and he forwarded me the 5 page disclaimer he got in an email after the order that I found to be absolutely hilarious.

I think if you intend to deal with that company, you need to check your expectations at the door because ANYTHING can happen.
On a positive note, my friend did get his knife in a timely manner.

I especially liked in the disclaimer that the owner has a *bleep*ing life and doesn't have the time to run out to the post office the second an order is placed.

I'm going to have to call this guy for the sheer experience of it. He sounds like the Soup Nazi of blades. No knife for you buddy!! :grumpy:

The guy is shadier than forest at 5pm. If everything goes right with your order and shipping, OK, but if something goes wrong, he's likely to flip out and screw you over. If you watch any of his videos about the lawsuits with Benchmade, you're painted a picture of a person who's not exactly stable in his mind. And if you believe anything he says about the legal issues of importing and/or shipping switchblades (which include balisongs, according to federal law), you could get in serious trouble with the law. It's likely only a matter of time before he gets in serious trouble himself.

I never noticed the video on the first page. It was great - me the wife and kids jumped up and started dancing like the early 60's at the beach! :D

I should add that he has a "All sales are final" policy. Knife you bought was junk? Tough shit. Came dull as an I beam? Tough shit. Didn't like it? Tough shit.

Man - I went to his video page and linked to his video channel and it's one long tyrade against Benchmade and I mean it's downright ugly sh*t!! This guy is nothing but hating on Benchmade for more reasons than being a good citizen IMO.

You'd have to watch them for yourself and judge. I'd hate to be on his sh*t list, that's a fact!

I just bought a used German made Italian Stiletto from him. Fast shipping, very well packaged, knife was much nicer than I was expecting. I'd do business with him again. I'm sure it's a small company that can't afford to eat all kids of returns. Great selections of used older switchblades. So bottom line is know what you're buying.

Welcome to BF! And how did you happen to join yesterday (?) and find your way back to this obscure thread in this big community and talk about what a great dealer that nutjob is today?

Perhaps you should search for him on these forums and see what kind of a dangerously unstable idiot he is?

I have worked with them before and ordered over 300$ of product from them. The issue though is, they overprice 90% of their stock. I own a Rob Dalton Cupid. They have 2 in stock. One for 800 one for 900. They have an attitude but I just place my order and go. Good switchblade kits.

Just don't try to talk to them or work with them. Be to the point with placing your order so you don't have to deal with the owner. select item> pay> receive and you will get out easy. He does not like benchmade for minor reasons so don't mention them or he flips shit. Also if you see something, look at it somewhere else. as i said 90% of the time he is overpriced (like some times hundreds of dollars)
