Associates Degree in Sobriety

Well done Brother!
This is why I keep coming back to this forum...it's almost the only place for good news these days!

Sobriety has been a key choice in mine and Lil-Bit's (my fiance) lives.
We met at a sobriety picnic, 4 yrs ago come September, and will be married in the near future.
Many indeed are the blessings that come in time........

Mike and Mike, CONGRATULATIONS!

Well deserved congrats, my friend! Like Jake said, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Keep fighting the good fight!

Thanks, John & everyone, for the inspiration. It came from here in the first place.

Hope to bump this thread again in another two years. :D

Congrats guys on how well you are doing.:)

Mike, I remember back to your dark days and it's so good to see you in the sunshine.:D

I used to laugh at the term "demon drink".
No more...I'm more experienced and have seen and experienced some of the destruction and desolation alcohol can cause.

Keep on trucking guys.

That's really great Ad.

I like happy endings.

Plus you one of those people who anytime I see a post from I always read it because it's always cool, or funny, or in some way interesting, so that things are working out is good.:D

Congrats to you, Ad, and to all of you who've made the decision & stuck to it. My hat's off to you.

Ad, I'm happy to see your life is going so well now!

+1!

Mike, I guess I missed this. I need to hang around more again.

I've been traveling in strange lands, and not all demons come in a bottle...

Thanks for the Mosinitis, BTW!!

:D

Oh, I'll just buy a couple of the cheap ones, you know...

:barf:

I think it was Sibelius who wrote "Finlandia"...

:)

Keep taking care,

Tom

BTTT.

Tempus fugit; "time flies."

Do they have a Master's Degree in Sobriety? Today it's six years.

Thanks to all of you; new and old Good Guys, who have provided inspiration and strength, by being a peer group I value greatly.

With your support- right there for the reading, in this thread and others- today I can call it six years of clear mind.

I kept my word to find this thread, and bump it, too.

The greatest battles are fought within, but no one fights alone. I appreciate the help, then and now, for helping me stand straight.

Mike, although I am happy to hear about your sobriety and your marriage, I am disappointed to hear about your cursed FEMA trailer that was provided to you by the taxpayers. We did not tell you to build your dreamhome in an area that was hurricane prone. So when you pass out the blessings, pass them out as well to the men and women who provided for you while you overcame your demons. Thank You, Bob
