At Last, The BladeForums Bowie is HERE

Kevin, That's a great knife! The maker's should be proud of it. You and the rest of the guy's did a great job. I just got my tickets and will be happy to pick up the knife at Jerry's show in October. Jim Treacy

Thanks everyone for your support and participation.
I feel we had a very good first day.

Wow, there's nothing about this entire project that's not just fantastic. :D

Awesome stuff guys!!!

I hope I can contribute the next time you guys do something like this.

Thanks for such a wonderful job on a wonderful idea!!! :D

I'm in for $50. Great cause and a gorgeous knife. Thanks to everyone who made this project happen.

I'm in. Great to be a small contributor to this cause.
Efforts such as this makes collecting and being a part of the knife community an honor to me.

Got my first opportunity to see and handle the BFB Bowie, and I have to say it's outstanding.
Just a beautiful hamon, fit/finish just as you would expect, the stag is incredible, surprisingly quick in hand for such a hefty Bowie and the sheath completes the fabulist package.

Thanks to everyone who has helped in the cause.

Agreed! I thought it was awesome, too, Kevin. Felt really good in the hand for a bigger bowie. A lot of great publicity for it at the show.

It was good to meet you today Kevin! Hope we can visit more next time. Thanks for all of your work and everyone else involved in this.

I am glad to have been able to play a small part in making this happen. I don't know how to design a knife, but I know all about funding!
It's a beautiful knife and a worthy cause. You guys are the best.

Everyone buy lots of tickets!!!

Judy

Thanks Joe and Judy. Great visiting with you Joe at the show. Nice score on that Hanson folder.

We haven't totaled out the BFB receipts from the show yet, but don't think it will prove to be as successful as the website in regard to ticket sales, but got very good exposure. We were set up @ five locations with flyers and merchandising material. The Bowie was very well received and I believe the website will be busy this week as the result of the show.
We could have used another few weeks to plan before the Show but all in all, going very well.

I've got to add my congratulations to the craftsmen and contributors. The finished product is outstanding in every way. I'm going to have to buy a few more raffle tickets!

In addition to the Bowie and Sheath the owner of the winning ticket will also receive the sister blade forged from 5160, the stencil used to mark the maker's names on the blade, and the original concept drawing. Ticket purchase is quick and easy utilizing www.bfbbowie.com

And Russ donated that fine piece of stag, in addition to the work he put into the Bowie. These guys are really committed to this project.
