I would send him a message indicating that you have been trying to contact him. Give him a deadline by which to contact you regarding payment...and if he does not meet that deadline, you are free to sell, giveaway, or ___ the sheath.
(I would say to send it with a read receipt; but one doesn't have to acknowledge them on this site, so there isn't much point.)

I wouldn't call them out on it publicly. I doubt much good is going to come of it. If they don't want it anymore or don't have the money, publicly exposing them isn't going to change that. Not to mention lynch mobs and dog piles can be fickle things (whether you wanted them or not).

Also, don't always depend on pm's and emails through the forum to go through. I have sent them a number of times and finally called or emailed through my regular email only to find out the person never received a thing. Put it up for sale and move on. It won't be the last time it happens.

So if a transaction is done for one dollar that wouldn't qualify for an itrader review?

I wouldn't call him out publicly. Not for something as small as this. I've heard from him. He promised to pay. Thanks to everyone for letting me vent and the advice.

Customer paid. Sheath shipped.

THANK YOU to everyone, and especially to RevDevil for stepping in on such a minor issue and offering to help out.

Skirting the rules as they are written in your suggestion is the best way to ensure no one deals with you more than once. Go ahead and try it, see how it turns out for you.
