realy it is the whole BCCI group ! the club swept the Blade Mag's awards!!!
and this is not the first time!!!
i had lots of advice on presenation and prep from many before i even started
makeing the cases...
it was the advice i got from you buck bro's that made me feel confedant enught to start on them in the first place!!!
every one said i picked the bigest show to start...
kinda like a rooky in the datona 500 fopr his first very 1st race!
i have already made plans on what changes i want to make for post falls!!
i may try to make ohio later this year... next year is a choice of every thing else or post falls and guess which wins....
on saterday Chuck said about the wood in my cases looked exality like the wood from the shop floor were his gand father worked in 1902..
i offered to donate what ever amount of the chestnut it may take to make a run of knives with it...
and i think it may realy happen!!!
so i have to get some stablized and sent out there for testing...
and then find out what they need of it...
for sat the place was bomming with lots of folks ! every one buying and selling and looking !
the board of bcci had a meeting and then the club had a meeting
some busness was talked of and voted on ... typical club stuff...some job changes and new rules ect...an honary historian was voted on ...
chuck and cj spoke of were the company was going and that there was a lot of new vigor with many of the new personal that were comeing on ...
Chuck CJ and the custom makers ~ Leroy ~ David ~ Bill were on hand up front to answer questions any one had!
i understand this was a rare treat to have so many at once...
they all agreed as to that many of the inlays that we love so much had ,,,
well each had a distncive bad smell ~ yep bad enught that they had to change clothes comeing in from working in the stuff...
with the exception that Dave said that the stones he used did not smell at all ! They each talked of one of the most memoral knives they made and i asked each what knife they liked best best... one did say the hunter but each had a diffrent knife they carred and used the most.
some knives were donated for the club to auction off for fundraseing!
Bill had a truckers knife with diamond plate frame and David had two chip flent that were auctioned off for a tad more then i could afforde!
expect to see a new knife with shaved rear bolsters and smoth black horn that at present has a spear point blade that matches the liner lock profile!!!!
sweeeeeeeeet enught for Goose to give up bikeing for a day or so to save some bucks for one!
after the meetting they did have tables full of knives that we could put our number in to have a chance to buy at the price on the knife!
well some knives no one put a number on and others had many numbers!!!
i picked up a sales proto 55 with miror blade nickel and balck micarta and there was only one there! also i got one of 4 grand opening etch 110's and i also picked up on a 432 with no leters cut in on the brass!!!
the rest i could only dream on for a moment...
so many knives so little money!!!
CJ had to leave early as he had a flight out for more bussness....
The club went to eat out again that nite and more chating ect...
again i want to express that my most identifiable feeling was like sitting down to eat at a famley reunion!!! teasing ~ jokeing~ giggles & laffes with lots of grins and smiles to go around!!!
so nice to be a part of i want to tell you! my brother told me~ bro you are hanging with a great class of people!
well it is 4 in the morn and i need to sleep so will give a short tale of sunday tomarow... or rather later later tonite...
