Attention Adrenaline Junkies! Scariest thing I have ever done..... What about you? =)

fear and adrenaline:
The day I was passing a station wagon on my bike and the lady driving decided to change lanes.
everything was good until I hit the patch of sand at 70 and the front wheel locked up.
adrenaline:

Of all the crazy riding I used to do, the scariest was when I was in two lanes that merge to one and a bus driver swerved in front of me blocking any way around but dirt. I was also going about 70 and slid the bike sideways just slowing to the buses speed as I was slightly under the bumper. Fear and adrenaline is right. I was numb for the next mile or so.

Not an adrenaline junkie at all. I hate flying so I guess knowingly stepping foot on an airplane is about as crazy as I get nowadays.

Going after a discount coupon thrown by the bossman at blade with Trevor's son pulling me by the ankles so Dad could get it. I am not 100% over it and Blade is just around the corner.

What pepper was the hottest in the world when you did that? I ask because within the last few years there have been many new pepper strains come out. The hottest in the world last time I checked is the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T strain rating at around 1.4 million SHU. Before that was the Naga viper at 1.3 million SHU, the New Mexico Scorpion at 1.1 Million SHU, the infamous "Ghost Chile" aka Bhut Jolokia at 1 million, and then you your Habenero's that range from 100,000 up to 600,000(red savina). I'm only 20 and I remember when the habanero's were the hottest. I love spicy stuff, but a habanero is the hottest pepper you will ever see me eat raw.

I have eaten a multitude of different peppers. I have also eaten the Butch T. If you click my youtube channel link its in my videos. Seasons out now or I would be reviewing more pods.

OK. You, sir ... just crazy!!

And not in that good Rodeo Clown way.

Yah. Most people say that chileheads are stupid. You cant knock it till you try it though :D. Its hard to explain but it probably does sound like I am a dumb young punk. Which I am.

Awesome thread and great stories!!!

Two of my most scary moments happened in Africa.

Kenya: The first was when me and my girlfriend at the time were on a walk through the bush with a ranger and a guide - we were about half a mile from our jeep when we were walking back and came right up on 3 rhinos. They saw us, one of them did a false charge and it scared the living sh*t out of me - you can see the look on my GFs face in the first pic - she was NOT happy. We walked slowly back to a few trees then wound up doing a massive circle around the rhinos to get back to the jeep. Thank god we had good guides with us and Mr. .375 H&H.

The next scariest moment was Cage diving with Great Whites in S. Africa :D The GWs would come right up to the cage and literally lock eyes with you - it was scary, but really really beautiful. Scariest part was watching them come up from out of nowhere and also climbing out of the cage back into the boat as fast as one could :)

Wow those are great pictures!!! Def would be a little nerve racking!!!!

I'd like to be able to eventually work my way up to a butch t, but as of now I don't think I'm ready to die. Props to you though, man.

Take good care of your sphincter and it will take good care of you!;).....................................:D

Really enjoyed that link to "Grind the Crack" His other U-tube clips are also well worth watching. Wow ... That Jeb has some serious "skills" ...

His video where he took a base jump from the bridge where his best friend was killed (he collided into it) ... that took a lot of courage ... even he seemed nervous ...

As a young recruit Para ( just turned 18 at the time) we did our first jumps from a barrage balloon ... the officer recruits went first ... then us ... I was in line to follow an officer cadet who was first out and he bottled it ... I was already feeling a bit tense myself ... but when we had to be winched down and have him taken away and then took back up again ... I was determined to jump rather than face the shame he went through ... the PJI's ( parachute jump instructors ) love it when an officer "bottles it " ... the one I had was grinning like a Cheshire Cat ... and they all have the same old jokes ... like shouting "Go" and then just as you jump they shout "No Wait" ... this guy did it to me but I was so revved up I did'nt hear ... here is a pic of how it looks ...

I remember I was really nervous then but I did come to enjoy it ... it got to the stage where if you could practise ... you were just getting paid for having a great time ... here are some pic's when we were over in the US on a joint exercise ... we had plenty of time to goof off and just do a few jumps for a laugh ... one of the guys with us was a US S/F's Press Officer or whatever based at Ft Bragg ... he was the guy who had the helmet camera and did an article on it for our Regiment paper ... good fun !

I've been circled by a tiger shark while 120ft underwater (SCUBA). It wasn't scary though because I was with my friends who see them at that spot all the time, so we were actually there looking for her. If I were getting circled at the surface it would have been scary for sure though.

My scariest moment happened about 26 years ago. My fiance' and I were at church, standing in front of the preacher. He asked her if she would take me for her husband. There was a pause, that nearly made me pass out. Then she said "I do." That's when I thought she was going to have to carry me down the ailse.
My second scariest moments were when my daughters were born.
My third scariest moment was standing alone in an open gate facing 150 rioting inmates, threatening to kill me, if I didn't move.
