Attention Adrenaline Junkies! Scariest thing I have ever done..... What about you? =)

Really enjoyed that link to "Grind the Crack" His other U-tube clips are also well worth watching. Wow ... That Jeb has some serious "skills" ...

His video where he took a base jump from the bridge where his best friend was killed (he collided into it) ... that took a lot of courage ... even he seemed nervous ...

As a young recruit Para ( just turned 18 at the time) we did our first jumps from a barrage balloon ... the officer recruits went first ... then us ... I was in line to follow an officer cadet who was first out and he bottled it ... I was already feeling a bit tense myself ... but when we had to be winched down and have him taken away and then took back up again ... I was determined to jump rather than face the shame he went through ... the PJI's ( parachute jump instructors ) love it when an officer "bottles it " ... the one I had was grinning like a Cheshire Cat ... and they all have the same old jokes ... like shouting "Go" and then just as you jump they shout "No Wait" ... this guy did it to me but I was so revved up I did'nt hear ... here is a pic of how it looks ...

I remember I was really nervous then but I did come to enjoy it ... it got to the stage where if you could practise ... you were just getting paid for having a great time ... here are some pic's when we were over in the US on a joint exercise ... we had plenty of time to goof off and just do a few jumps for a laugh ... one of the guys with us was a US S/F's Press Officer or whatever based at Ft Bragg ... he was the guy who had the helmet camera and did an article on it for our Regiment paper ... good fun !
