Attention Bf Members!!!

THANKS...THIS WILL BE MY LAST FOR A "WHILE"

Well, after getting called by two different Neurologists in regards to a DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS, MY DOC'S response: "I am just looking for drugs" and their response: "have you seen the test results", ALL HAS changed.
I have known this ortho Doc for 16 years and 'thought" him to be a fine, compassionate, and excellent Human. He and his wife came over to the House last evening and he was very humble as he apologized for "jumping to conclusions" that in this case have jeopardized my f-ING life. So, needless to say, my brain is going 200 MPH, I am trying to be Ira on the outside, I am scared to death on the inside

WELL, the ball is FINALLY ROLLING. Today (Saturday), I have a full day of heavy duty MRI's, scans, X-rays, nerve conductiopn stidies, blood-work and a biopsy. They issue of a "DOCTOR CAUSED CONDITION" has finally been addressed and acknowledged and 'Lawsuits" and that crap is secondary to me getting my LIFE back. Some of you talk about cops and the "CODE OF SILENCE". Well, how about a few of you "Doctors" explaining the 'code" in medicine. it exists in every PROFESSIONAL FIELD. Ah, rant over..................
I am so sorry for not explaining this to you sooner, but to be honest, I really did not know much until last night. Now I know why they have avoided this issue, and the whole cause for my problem is a very botched "Passet Block" done when I broke my ribs in 2000 and a Doctor, without written permission, and just to avoid increasing my pain Meds decided to "attempt" a block in an area where it now appears I had "ruptured" a Disc. he missed and just pushed spongy material into the spinal cavity. He had never done this type of block before and a simple increase of Morphine would have been the more appropriate action. It has been '
CYA" ever since, UNTIL NOW!!!! But it may be a little too late. This is why I needed to find a Surgeon ASAP. I found a great "kid" in boston last night!!!
Listen, I am laying here with a laptop and it's impossible to type with one hand. I am only alowed 10 minute "spurts" on the computer so Just address E-mails to "Wolfie" (long, long story). Other than that, I am off the air as of this AM.

My half Brother went through RSD [Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy I believe is the proper term] in the early 1990s when very little was known about it. Because of the pain, they did the same thing sometimes, other times, it was Cortisone shots... They accused him of being a dope fiend and everything else because not much was known and it was an insurance case... SO they were trying to wiggle out of it.

The point I'm trying to make is, many others have gone through these trials and tribulations and no matter how dark things appear to be, there is something else. It's life, and sometimes it sucks. But you just be OK, you hear? Many other people, RIGHT NOW, are going through what you are going through, I know, a fat lot of good that makes you feel too. But it's true and please, keep up the spirits and the hope of a better tomorrow. You're too fookin' mean not to get better anyway.

Please, seriously, take it easy and try to trust the current Doctors and leave the rest behind for now. Just do what they tell you to do when they tell you to do it and how they tell you to do it and RECOVER.

Ira, the good part about telling 13,000 people is now you've got a huge rooting section in your favor.

Dang! Tell him to get better, this board isn't the same without his quips on being a married knife-collector. :(
