  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Attention fellow bushcrafters. Giveaway winner announced!!!

I'm in Newport Beach.

My buddy that did them for me. He is AMAZING with wood. He is going to make some more for some of my buddies. I'm hopefully going to get a bk9 soon and have him make some for it
I was born at Hoag Memorial in Newport Beach. Lived 23 years in Mission Viejo. Small world. I've made close to 30 sets of those scales and not a single one has come out that nice.

If you want a set I could ask my buddy about it.

He owns a wooden surfboard company, things like this are super easy for him.

Ahhh Hoag, know the ER well. Lol

i do want a set, I really, really do. I can't though, It takes me 6 to 8 hours to make a set of scales so I can't in good conscience ask for or accept. I do wonder how he does those, CNC, maybe? He could sell them for sure.

That knife and I certainly traveled a lot in the last 72 hours! Time for some sleep!

My Bk-11 is stuck in the log in the middle of the picture. (Orange wrapped handle) My gear is everywhere else, lol. Thanks for the chance!

This is always with me no matter where I go as my base gear. Depending on how long I am planning to stay, weather, what I am doing, etc, my gear shifts appropriately. It's all I really need to bring and I feel comfortable with it. I basically pack my gear around this small load. If This is all I am carrying, I have a small day pack that this fits into.

No way! I live in Corona! Where abouts? I'm off of the sixth street exit! That's crazy. I probably drive next to you on the hellish 91 often.
Haha I live off sixth street off Norco drive! I just say Corona because nobody know what the hell norco is!

I'm lucky if someone knows where Corona is usually depending on where they're from. I've had to tell people "in between LA and San Diego" quite a few times just so they could get a geographical reference. Sorry to be hijacking this thread, but it's rare to find another Riverside Resident on the web. Know of any good places to hike? I just moved from Orange County like a year ago so still finding trails. PM me back if you want, so we don't keep sidetracking the thread. Sorry folks, continue on.
