I was banned at USN. For a terribly bad
Judgement call on my behalf...
These are the details in a small synopsis
As many of you know. I donated a kidney to my wife
During the first year of donation the medication cost
Where to say the least. Mind boggling. These where mess
Just to keep her kidney healthy. Celcept-Prograf etc
That is what led me to the bad choice I made at that time
Try to pull a fast one and turn a Knife. Not on my procession
For a quick buck...Of course my ultimate goal was to help
Offset the cost out of pocket for her medications. Of course
I paid the price and got banned and also had to live internally
With the guilt and shame. I dealt with it. Forgave myself. Asked
Forgiveness and went forward. There is nothing I will not do for my wife
But as I learned being dishonest is not one of them..
I see your point BP Green and I am ok with it. But this question has been
Poised to me by folks in here. But done privately in a Pm or an email. Told them
All the same things I'm public ally explaining here as well.
I've learned my lessons never denied my wrongs. I have also worked hard to do the right
Thing and be honest and generous with all my doings on here!! I have built my reputation in here
By carrying myself properly and speaking my mind when a wrong is made. The thread you mentioned
A wrong has occurred. I have earned the right after 10 of stellar transactions to speak my mind
As for you BP Green. I hope this helps you out and others that may question my past.
As for you since you seemed more inclined to do this publically instead of acting like an adult.
I simply go forward and hold my head high I guess I will hope you will as well

I have been around forums for years, I remember this and it is very old news. You have acquitted yourself like a gentleman here for a long time.
I daresay none of us care, but you have come clean so lets move on. You are a good guy and I would do business with you anytime.

I have dealt with the Giz before and he was nothing but a respectful,honest and forthright person to deal with. I even enjoy reading his post and commentary.

Well, you started out well but then called me "childish". So here is my take for anyone who cares: As I've stated repeatedly, if I was the one in this situation I would want it out in the open. Sunlight is a sanitizer. Why keep it in the dark if you did nothing wrong? Bring it out kicking and screaming and let the chips fall where they may so that at least you're not having to look over your shoulder anymore.

You know what Gizmo, or Keith, or whatever your name is? I've seen you make post after post on here casting rocks at people who did the exact same thing you did; and often claiming similar circumstances- medical, accidents, etc. I could post them here - and there are plenty - but all that would serve to do is fuel this even further. They are there for anyone to see who is so inclined to see for themselves. You seem to take the self righteous high road quite often and its pissed a lot of people off for the hypocrisy. I've gotten messages, whatever. You seem to have carved out a place for yourself here and that's good. I'm happy for you. But to accuse me of throwing the first stone? Come on man. . .

As I stated earlier, people can choose to do whatever they like. But at least now they are aware and can decide for themselves.

Everyone can screw up at some point. It's how they comport themselves afterward that makes a difference. We all make mistakes. I've made a bunch myself but then apologized and moved one and tried not to make the same one again. I think you can really tell whether someone is truly sorry for their actions by their apology, or lack thereof. I'll leave it at that.

I value my reputation above all else and don't appreciate lies or hypocrisy. Personally, I think if you were truly sorry you wouldn't be making yourself out to be the victim here. So I guess I'm the bad guy for bringing this to light? OK, I'll take that hit. There is a sticky on another forum that prides itself on honest business dealings warning members to stay away from you. I couldn't in good conscience continue to watch you make post after post as if you were this squeaky clean shining example of purity, honor and integrity without warning the very people you operate amongst. That is why I brought it to light.

If people think that makes me a bad guy, so be it. Put me on your ignore list and dont deal with me. Problem solved.

I will say this much, I'd sooner cut my own balls off than screw someone else over. But hey, that's just me, whatever. At least folks can now decide for themselves who the real hypocrite is because they have all the information and can make an informed decision. That's more than they had before.

That's all I got to say. Let the chips fall where they may. . .
 
I'd like to add one more thing. This wasn't easy for me. I don't like drama and believe me, I go out of my way to avoid attention in daily life. I didn't do this because I was bored and had nothing else to do. If you are truly repentant Keith then I'm happy for you and hope all goes well for you from this point forward.

If you truly are though, why don't you reach out to that "other place" and try to make yourself whole there? Personally I couldn't leave a festering wound on my reputation like that sit for years and pretend it didn't exist. But again, that's just me. We all have our own paths to carve. . . .
 
FWIW - I think OP's question is a legitimate one. I think this community has an interest in knowing this information. I also think that one should have an opportunity for redemption. Whether Gizmoman has accomplished that is up to folks to decide for themselves, as is the value of Gizmoman's opinions on the conduct of others. OP may give it no value. Others may value it a great deal. That's really not my concern. What's really bothersome is the way Gizmoman writes. Seriously, WTF dude? :eek:
 
Got me- 1 more for the Ignore list and it's not the guy I'm familiar with because of constant positive forum participation.

Edit: I gave this a little more thought- in retrospect, I would choose the latter.

So there is a forum that has a sticky about Gizmo and something he did 11 years ago?

Gizmoman - Your response says that your bad conduct at USN was ten years ago. Having read the sticky there, I see that you were banned in 2011, not ten years ago. Can you explain the discrepancy?
 
Not quite. For full disclosure that sticky is dated 8-12-2011. And it states that the offending party has remained unapologetic so he was banned.

Sorry, We responded at the same time. . . :o

I don't think there is any axe to grind, I know both Giz and the OP. This will not be a productive discussion if we leave it public. Any further discussion should be had in private. If anyone has anything more to add let us know.
