Hey Spark. Suppose I signed on for a Gold membership and now want to upgrade to a platinum membership. Is the only way this can be done by paying full price or can a guy upgrade for a lesser fee?

I've written privately asking about this but haven't heard back from anyone.
 
You can upgrade for the remainder of your membership -- a good deal if you're near the beginning of the year you've already paid for.
 
I'm sorry. I don't follow. I just paid in March. So I'm one quarter into my paid membership. Do I just clik the platinum service and go ahead and sign on? Because it says it is 50 bucks. I see no button to 'upgrade'.
 
Got it done today. Thanks. I went ahead and upgraded. Now I have to read all the differences in what that means I guess.
 
Yeah that was a pleasant surprise actually.

I must say I have really been enjoying this forum. More so now since upgrading my membership.

It has been quite a joy to have this place since I have nothing but free time. This and the KF are the first two places I check into each morning. There for a while before finding this site I had contemplated getting another job because I felt guilty I guess having all this time on my hands. But this and the other forum and being a mod there has given me new reason to feel good about being home and the impact and information here has rekindled my knife making and other cutlery hobbies I have always had a deep love for.

Besides I'm closer to my old dog Barney now also so life is good.

if I up-date to Platinum Membership now and my K/M membership is up next month
does the new one get added on to the end of that date where I'm a currant member?
or do I start out new at the date I up grade to Platinum ?
in other words should I wait until my knife maker one expires?

by the looks, if I re-up with what I have now K/M it will get tacked on to the date of expiration is that right? I'm thinking that is what the * is for. :)

just not to sure about the upgrade dating.. :confused:
 
I guess I am a little dense. It appears, when I try to renew my membership, that it does not recognize my email address. I am not a computer genius, so I know it is something I am doing wrong. Please help!!! David Farmer. parang1@comcast.net

Trying to renew my Gold membership and I'm getting an error message as soon as I click on the "order using authorize.net" prompt.
"The following errors have occurred.
(14) The referrer, relay response or receipt link URL is invalid."
 
Dan - when you renew, it's added on to the end of your current subscription, you don't have to wait until the last minute.

David, Owen - it was broken, it should be fixed now.
 
Here's what I got after putting in my info:
"An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the Merchant. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

This transaction has been approved.

It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service."

Spark, it is still showing a "bad log in" when I use the 1SKS site to renew. I know y'all are working on it. If I need to do something else, let me know. David
 
I don't know what you mean by "Bad Log In" you need to give me more information.

Make a seperate thread for this.

Well dagnabbit, I just checked my statement and I was double charged for my membership, what or who do I contact to get it straightened out? Please help asap.

I got an email advising me my knifemaker membership is about to expire with a link for renewal.

I tried and I got the address match failure. It's a paypal mastercard but my address is Canada

Addendum - and you saw this coming didn't you. Even the old system won't take my C/C. Jeeze Spark, I'm a known customer and long time member. I'm not your international C/C fraud artist. I want to support the board. Help!
