It's gonna be a looooooong time before I trust a fart.

Someone once told me "never".... And I've tried to live by that advice ever since.

My souvenir from the metropolis of Seymour, Indiana. A little rubberized butane torch I bought at the local CVS, which by the way has an excellent set of facilities. And they sell liquor!

I believe I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Seymour a couple of times when I was doing some work at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC). The land used to be the Indiana Farm Colony for Feeble-Minded Youth, until it was donated to the Indiana Army National Guard in 2005. More info at the following link:

One of the nearby towns had a vending machine full of fishing bait on the sidewalk outside a sporting goods store in the downtown area. Perfect for those time when you have a late night urge for bait and the stores are closed...

Call me narrow-minded, but I don't believe these two words should ever be in the same sentance...or paragraph...maybe even page... I grew up grilling meat on oak logs cut by my younger brother and myself (some may remember the photo of the 2-man saw in the last snark thread), and started using charcoal in college. But propane? That's just not right.

In other news, we're back from the funeral in Denver. It was a good service for my father-in-law and a good visit with all the kids, grandkids and other members of my wife's family. For those that missed it, he had a good life (97 years old) and was looking forward to leaving this earthly life and joining his wife who passed over 15 years ago. It was more a celebration of "Doc's" life. There were some tears, but an aweful lot of laughter, and a reasonable supply of Sam Adams.

Sorry for your loss.

I actually use a small Weber charcoal grill too, but the propane is just too convenient sometimes. I do have a little smoker box that I use in a propane grill to get some smokieness. Its a small cast iron box that you fill with wood chips and put in when you start the grill. I think I picked it up at wally world for cheap.

Is that the same thing you use JT?

Woohoo! I have Friday off now. I do have to run down to the county we're having our wedding at and get the beer n' wine license. After that, I'm free all day. What to do.... Go hiking at the state park down there? Go home and work on my Jeep(s)? A little of both? Then this Saturday I'm going brewery hopping throughout Louisville with some friends. That should be a blast.

It's just there for show. To get warm water, Todd lights an Emberlit in middle of the shop and boils a cup of soapy water.
That's a true story by the way. ;)

So I've heard....

naw, that's 'shopped, you're smiling.
and that's not soapy water, that's 'beer' (that's what it says on the label, anyway).

We've not yet invested in a proper smoker box. So far we have just used disposable aluminum pans and plain ol' packets of aluminum foil.

Not a whole lot of difference between Busch Light and soapy water, except soapy water tastes better :D

I'm just teasin, it's not that bad. A local tavern up North used to have it in ice-cold 12-oz bottles for a dollar on Wednesday afternoons. This was back when a mug of tap domestic was $2 and bottles were $2.50, so that was quite a deal to us. My drummer and I would put away a case easily. ;)

Yeah well, don't worry folks, there was a responsible person supervising the whole time so no one was in danger at any givin time......... of coarse that responsible person was my 9 yr. old son. Lol.

Biscuit's a homewrecker. He's pressured me into buying a Large Becker Patrol Pack. Now I've gotta post a smaller one on the bay, AGAIN!

A new one from the factory. As soon as I found out they are US made again I knew I'd be buying one.

Get coyote, screw the grey man concept.
