Having bought a newer vehicle with 7000 miles on it I tend to park out in the boonies of parking lots to avoid door dings. This morning I ran to wally world after work to grab a few things. Being 5:30am, I was the only customer there. I parked closer than normal, but far enough away to avoid the normal people that take the closest spots. When I walked out there was someone just getting in their pickup that had parked right next to me!!! When I unlocked my doors they took off across the parking lot pretty quickly. That made me suspicious, so I checked out the other side of my pickup and the bastard had opened his door into mine!!! It only scuffed it, so it will buff out, but it really annoys me that he took off like that and didn't even attempt to apologize or anything.

Should have sent a shot across his bow just on suspicion alone. :D

I've been to Murph's part of Indiana, and I want to know where the hell he found Voodoo Doughnut Pretzel, Raspberry, and Chocolate Beer.
I have suspicions he special ordered that from a Bay Area micro-brewery.

Just finished off the walleye fillets from the ones I caught on Sunday. I'm still working out my seasoning, but I'm getting pretty darn good at cooking them again. I need to buy a new propane grill, so I can try a few grilling recipes out. Does anyone have a Weber Spirit grill? If so, how do you like it?

buncha lunatics out on the lake again this morning. Personally, I keep my fish in the kitchen freezer rather than caching it under a foot of ice like a frozen squirrel.

if yogurt with active cultures gives you the squirts, you're probably lactose intolerent...

Nah, it's the cultures. I was born and raised in WI, dude... we euthanize lactose intolerant babies. (kidding!)

I drink milk, eat ice cream, cheeses, cottage cheese, real butter etc. etc. on a daily basis with no problem. Couple people have told me "if you eat the yogurt regularly for a couple weeks your body will get used to it." Cause yeah, I wanna have the runs for weeks to solve a problem I don't have...

Besides, it's gross. :barf: But on the plus side, if I ever do develop a problem with constipation, I now know at least one natural remedy that will definitely work to fix it.

That seems pretty extreme. At the least, you could sell them to New Yorkers.

About to head out the door for a run, and it's snowing like a sumbitch out there.

Haha. A foot of ice is safe to drive a half ton pickup on if it is good ice!! I personally wait for at least 15 inches. You should give ice fishing a try...... its a blast!!

It's one of those days where I am checking the clock at 9:30 to see if it is 5:00 yet... gonna be a long day..

I was easily able to find it in bumf**k, Colorado.

That bottoms up beer dispenser is pretty cool!

I usually park way back in the lot just because I'd rather walk a little farther than trying to squeeze in and out of a parking spot surrounded by morons and inconsiderate jerks. And my rigs may be old beaters covered in dents and scratches, but if I catch someone disrespecting my vehicle I lose it. One time I got off work and came outside to find one of my coworkers sitting behind the wheel of my blazer just being goofy. He didn't mean anything by it, we were always playing off each other so I forced myself to be calm and told him that my vehicles are pretty much the only thing that is off limits.

Yogurt is merely halfway to cottage cheese...
I have an unscientific untested inexpert theory about people who don't like yogurt. Do you like wine?

I'm giving ice-fishing-watching a try. It also includes beer and comfort.

Just what the world needs... more New Yorkers :p

Hey, I used to resemble that remark! ;)

Call me narrow-minded, but I don't believe these two words should ever be in the same sentance...or paragraph...maybe even page... I grew up grilling meat on oak logs cut by my younger brother and myself (some may remember the photo of the 2-man saw in the last snark thread), and started using charcoal in college. But propane? That's just not right.

In other news, we're back from the funeral in Denver. It was a good service for my father-in-law and a good visit with all the kids, grandkids and other members of my wife's family. For those that missed it, he had a good life (97 years old) and was looking forward to leaving this earthly life and joining his wife who passed over 15 years ago. It was more a celebration of "Doc's" life. There were some tears, but an aweful lot of laughter, and a reasonable supply of Sam Adams.

Yeah, that makes sense. I always kinda figured yogurt was either well past its prime or just not done yet. :p I do like wine now and again, mostly fairly dry whites and good strong country wines.

I used to be a total charcoal snob and look down my nose at propane "grills". But I got over it when I started learning about smoking with chips. It's just too dang handy to be able to have a great-tasting plate of smoky delicious food with basically zero extra work. Plus, much of the year our deck is a lot more comfortable than our kitchen, the dogs are fun to hang out with, and I can pee over the rail in the corner. (Miss Angie hates when I do that in the kitchen )

Glad to hear the funeral went well. That's the way they should be :)

Whenever I have to take antibiotics, it has a negative affect on my digestive system since all the "good" bacteria in my stomach is killed. I find that yogurt helps to keep things under control. My wife and I especially like Greek yogurt.

Also, I confess that I've been weakening on the wood/charcoal issue as I get older and lazier. I did just get the Lodge Sportsman Grill for Valentine's Day, and that makes it pretty easy though. I may have to consider the propane with wood chips in the future though....since wood is involved, it may be okay...

Thanks for the kind remarks.

I think I need some Korean food for lunch....

Ya'll probably don't remember me talking about the single shot 12ga's I got back in January. Well I bought them with the intention of shortening one and making a handy backpacking gun and it's almost done. Picked this up from the 'smith today.

Shortened the barrel to ~18.5" and re-installed the bead. I need to finish fitting the fore end, it's too tight to the receiver and makes the gun stiff to open. Besides that it needs a sling and a butt cuff to hold some shells. As it is it feel like it probably weighs about 4 or 4.5 lbs. I love it.
