Same here. I have a semi-matched set in the current batch for ME. Haven't made myself a knife in a couple-three years, WTH is up with that? The wife isn't thrilled about me making something that's not for sale, but too bad. I got into this because I want cool knives too, goldarn it.

In other news, I do not understand all the fuss about the zT550. Great materials and very solid... but it sure seems like a whole lot of other stuff/weight wrapped around a smallish blade. Maybe it's just me *shrug*

Gotta keep the maker happy or he'll need to get a 'real' job!
I made a matched set for a married couple awhile back - turned out REALLY nice and I was sorry to let them go. At least they were friends of mine. I suspect that many makers and up with all the prototypes and seconds while their best work gets sold.

I think it looks nice but I'm not spending $200 on a knife. I have two ZT's but I didn't pay full price for either. I'm not convinced they're really worth the price. And S30V is overrated IMHO.
