Axe preferences among Becker fans?

I got this Estwing for Christmas, but I have not had a chance to use it yet.

I like my 14" Gerber hatchet. It takes a wicked edge. I could pull it out of the sheath right now and shave with it.

I hear that about the Fiskars too Dubs, but I keep seeing pics of those plastic heads mounts chipped and busted, makes me nervous as hell.

I have a small Fiskars hatchet. I have abused it pretty good and it is still kicking.

I do get nervous in cold temps though.

I did take a nick out of mine the first time I used it. It was cold out, but like 35° or so, not overly cold.

So I'm curious: among the Becker fans, is there a brand of axes that is most popular? Except for my SOG fasthawk, all of mine are the Gerber/Fiskars models, but lately I've become interested again in the Estwing line--kinda seem like the Beckers of the ax world. So, what do y'all think?

When it comes to axes, I probably own more vintage Pumps than any other type. There are others that are nice as well. Although the metallurgy is better today, the craftsmanship was much better back in the day. Still, I get more use out of my Taiwan-made Cold Steel Pipe Hawk than anything else.

I have 2 becker knives, and I am definitely a fan, I personally like vintage axes, especially if I find them with a thin coat (surface only) of rust on them. when I find them like that, they have a great patina after a wire brush on a drill. My favorite axe that I own is a bit of an odd ball, it started life as a plumb hatchet that I had picked up (really heavy though). I'm fairly certain it wasn't a boys axe either. I put it on a 21 inch handle and it works wonders, very handy, but long enough to handle most all I can throw at it.

I have two hatchets fiskars and husqvarna and a collins boys axe (which actually sucked and had to be totally reground to make it effective) that I got from an ace hardware years ago. out of the three the husqvarna hatchet is my favorite. i have had no problems with the fiskars i just like the option of being able to replace the handle if need be in a remote area.

I've benn looking at different options and I've become rather smitten with Roselli Wildlife axe.

I picked up this Craftsman boys axe at the swap meet for 5 bucks...

a little restore action

then I figured I might as well try and make a sheath /cover for it...

This is a "pre-mod" shot of my TrailHawk with my 16, both in Leather I made for them--(sure wish I would have remembered to put a belt loop on that 16 sheath:D)
I will take some new photos soon--both have had some mods done to them--
