No stitches, no insurance. I removed a large chunk of my pinky a few months back and there were no stitches then either lol. It reattached fine and is still in the final stages of healing up. Think it will be fit awhile.
The Opinel, its a bad cut but a clean cut. Deep and angular, So it'll heal up nicely. A little contact cement and some tape will heal it up fine.
I am very serious in saying that this cut hurts worse than removing all of that pinky meat I just got over.
All I was doing was trying to eat a banana lol. I was holding my knife open when I dropped my banana. I freaked out and tried to catch it. I did, I caught the banana and a little bit of Opinellol. Right in the index finger.

Just remembered, this dude got my beloved Opinel, no mention of receiving it, no thank you, nada. Just goes on trying to nab stuff haha.
Now I miss it. :/ better get a new one. Maybe I'll try stainless this time. Or get a Mercator.

Yep. Same here, I sent 3 out, and nothing. USPS tracking told me items were delivered.

This guy does excellent work with wood.
I would go with the factory micarta as the 2 is just a little too wide for my hands and I can't do the slick thing. Gitta wrap it in cloth athletic take..I have a question for you guys. I've got a bk2, while the stock scales aren't bad, the grivory just isn't for me. Im going to start shopping around soon, any suggestions?
Glad you had a good time WW!

Do you prefer wood to micarta?
apart from the items I asked for.yesterday, I haven't claimed anything for myself yet. NikkiR was generous enough to buy my old man a brand new bk9. the minute he received it I emailed her and thanked her profusely. as soon as I go over there,I plan on taking some action shots of it and sharing with her. I gifted a few items and the minute the gentleman received them,I got a thank you email.I hope to see some pics. you can be sure if I do get the items I asked for yesterday, there will be thank yous and photos posted here. a little courtesy goes a long ways guys.... just saying
I prefer canvas micarta over G10 for a user knife for sure... Now wood, it depends on who did it and the wood itself, the bocote on my potbelly is hard to beat for looks and still maintains a decent amount of grip. But for hard use the micarta would win out because of the grip. The wood looks better to me though.
