Update:

Sorry you haven't heard from me since 12/31. I was sick for a while and have been bussy with familly; my folks came to visit last week. I don't kid myself, I know they didn't come to see me, they came for the grandkids. It was nice to see my parents, though.

I'm still waiting for the patches. For whatever reason, Stadri took a long time to process the payment. It was supposed to be processed 12/31, but they took the money from my account this week, after I called to check on the delay. According to the original timeline, I should get the patches next week. I'll call Monday to get an update from them. Still, as soon as I get the patches I'll start shipping them.

Edgar

Update:

Finally. Stadri is shipping the patches today. :D I'll get a tracking number from them tomorrow. According to them I should get them Friday or Monday at the latest. I'll start sending them to you guys next week.

Edgar

Very cool Edgar, thanks for the update and good news.

How's velcro for attaching? In particular guy on a spit. Only got one, so will want to swap between packs and a couple jackets/vests.

At the price we payed the patches have a hard backing (hard, not stiff), which is perfect to sew velcro on. Stadri offers Velcro as an option for their patches, so I guess velcro works reliably for what you have in mind. You may want to make sure that you get good quality velcro (I have seen some that only work for a little while), preferably something designed or used for your purpose. I'm sure some of the guys here can direct you in the right direction.

BTW, you actually have 2 GOS patches. There are some extra patches to be distributed which will be given in the order the orders were payed (payment is the final confirmation of the order) and yours was the first payment I got.

Thanks for the hard work Edgar. Hopefully your kids had a good Xmas as well.
Personally, I'm in no rush: it'll be here whenever it gets here.
Cheers!

You are welcome. My kids wanted a Karaoke game for the PS2. They got Karaoke Revolution Party thanks to all you guys' generosity. And I can't complain either. From Mtnfolk Mike I received my first Opinel and from another forumite (since he didn't do this publicly, I'll respect his anonimity) I received a few Okapis for me and my kids (among then two that I really, really wanted for my collection). This kind of generosity is something that I definitely did not expect.

I know, but the truth is that Codger was right on a comments he made some time ago. I'll be glad when I'm done with this project.

Preacher Man , thanks for the updates , there is no stressing here about when they arrive , Im just happy you got it together and happening .
Its good to know your family got something out of it for all the stressing done :)

Liam,

I have 2 orders that have not been payed, and those members don't answer emails. From those I can work something out for you. The most I can set you up for is for 7 patches: Design #4 - 1 patch / Modified Design #4 - 1 patch / Guy On Slpit - 1 patch / 3-Color Design #1 - 2 patches / 3-Color Design #2 - 2 patches. From that total of patches I can offer you, let me know what you want, and I'll give you a total to pay. I'll need your payment as soon as possible, though.

:D Now about those W&SS Merit badges.....:D

I just can't say it enough Edgar... Thank you for doing this for us!

Codger

Yes! Thank you. I am looking forward to sewing one on my day pack.

My wife is so pissed :D "You are NOT going in public with a patch of a man getting cooked over a fire"

I responded, "Do you think, I will have to tell people, I am not a real cannibal?" As if the hundreds of cannibal cults in America would wear a patch advertising their favorite meal! ;)

She sometimes underestimates people's sense of humor.

Thanks again,

:D LOL. I understand about wives and knives. For whatever reason, it's not always a good combination.

 Well, my sweet wife goes above and beyond to keep me in gear, but when it comes to knives, she gets to use it first. I've lost several to the kitchen and her vehicle kit.:D

OK I am on board!
Edgar, great work on this.
T-shirts were mentioned I saw, how about coffee mugs, too?
Someone elses turn to work their arse off for us.:D

post 331 answers my questions, I will be sending paypal asap.
