B F Wilderness & Survival Patch order

Guy, I've been extremely sick. I've been mostly confined to bed since late Monday. I'm asthmatic and I have severe bronchitis. For a while we thought it was pneumonia. Last night was my first good night sleep since Monday. Before that my breathing was so difficult I couldn't sleep and the concern that I could stop breathing in my sleep was real. Besides, I had so much Albuterol in my system, there was no way I could sleep any way. I'm starting to get better now, though. I haven't been able to ship the patches yet. I will as soon as I can.

You haven't heard from me because my computer got sick too. Last weekend it got a nasty virus that turned it into a Zombie. I can access my files in Safe Mode, which I need to back up very carefully to avoid replicating the infection, but I can't go online or my computer will start sending out who knows what. The infection is at the operating system level, so I need to format the hard drive and re-install everything.:mad: Hopefully, now that I'm starting to feel better, it will be up and running by the Sunday. Right now I'm using a friend's computer who was kind enough to help me let you know what's happening.

I'm Sorry for the buildup and let-down about getting the patches this week, but I can assure you that this week has not been fun. Probably I won't have internet access again until I fix my computer, but as soon as I can, I'll start shipping the patches.

Look after you and yours first , I know first hand what it is to have asthma go bad ...
whenever you get around to it , thats good enough for me .

If you need any help mailing the patches out, just let me know and I will do what I can. I am in Dallas, so it won't be any trouble at all.
 
Edgar my mail should be reaching you if it has'nt already. Yikes! I should do a checkup on my computer since you emailed with me last week...Ut Oh the wife's work is on here I better not screw this computer up. I'm switching off to my laptop for safety until I can be sure this one's ok. let me know your fix in case I need it thanks, Gene

Guys and gals, when it rains it pours. I thougth I was getting better, but I was not. The infection that caused my bronchitis turns out to be resistant to antibiotics and it spread to my salivary glands. Now I'm on an antibiotic coctail, steroids for my asthma and neck swelling (for a while my neck looked like a bullfrog's and starting to come down) and a few other things to help control my asthma. My condition is still serious, but is no longer dangerous.

My wife and kids also got sick, but thankfuly it was a virus and not my infection spreading.

My computer is still down, but it turns out I can post from my phone, so I'll keep you posted. I kept the patches in the protective bags they came in and the envelopes are still sealed in their shrink bags, so when I send them, there will be no risk of spreading my infection.

I appreciate your patience, good wishes, prayers, and understanding.

I did get your letter, so you are set. I hope your computer didn't get infected. This virus is very insedious, bad enough that Norton Antivirus can detect it, but can't eliminate it or quarantine it. This is a two-part virus, a downloader and a deceiver. The downloader downloads the deceiuer, and the deceiver re-writes some Windows files. It forces your computer to conect to the internet and send God knows what. To verify if your computer is infected you need to physically disconect your internet connection (disconnect
the phone/DSL line) and restart your computer. If infected, the virus will force your computer to restart again and again in an atempt to find
an internet connection. If your
computer does not restart on its own, it is not infected.

Thanks for the offer to help. All the orders and shipping information are in my compvter. The files are safe, but can't print them until I fix the computer. I'll let you know once I'm done fixing it. Hopefully the new antibiotics will kick in soon and I will not be contagious anymore. That will make things easier.

Good news. Things are starting to go back to normal. I'm still weak, but my asthma is improving, my neck is almost normal, and I'm not running a fever any more.

The virus that hit my family ran its course and my wife and kids are starting to feel better. Hopefully high fevers are behind us. I'm more active now and can think straight again, so I'm going to work on my computer this weekend. If things continue this way, I should be able to start mailing the patches sometime next week.

I'll keep you posted. Again, thanks for your patience and your prayers.

Take it easy , your health is more important than patches

I dont want you making yourself sick again on my account , if it means waiting a while longer thats cool by me .

Guys, my computer is up and running again and my health continues to improve. My asthma is under contol, my neck is normal, the coughing is gone, and I don't feel weak all the time anymore. Thank God, my wife and children are well now. The only downside is that all the pills I'm taking are giving me an upset stomach all the time and are affecting my blood pressure, but I'll take that over the uncontolled asthma and inffection any day.

I'll start working on the shipping labels tomorrow.
