I can add to cover the paypal fees, and I have a bank account tied paypal account. YOu're doing great on this and putting a lot of time in already, no reason you should eat fees.

I am psyched I am getting the guy on the spit.

great job on all the people who made this happen

Thanks
Chris

I think what some folks are missing is that if many of them have a credit card-based PayPal account and even pay you the extra fees, YOU will still end up having to upgrade your account and then fees will be charged to ALL PayPal payments.

That is exactly part of what everybody who plans to pay by PayPal needs to understand. That is also why I need to know how many will pay through PayPal using credit, debit or check cards. Some may be able to add their bank account as a funding source with no problem, and others can just send a check or PSMO just as easy, but I'm sure some won't be able too, and they need to pay with a credit card. My personal account can take up to 5 credit card and still charge no fees to those who want to pay using a free payment option. Any credit card transitions over 5 will be denied unless I upgrade to a Premier account, in which case every PayPal transition (bank account funded or not) will be charged the fees.

If someone doesn't have a bank account-based PayPal account, shouldn't they be sending you cash or a money order?

I'm guessing that most PayPal users will be able to just add their Bank Account as a funding source and avoid the fees all together. That been said, I need to know before hand how many bank funded and credit card funded transfers my PayPal account going to get. If we have more than 5 PayPal users who right now are on a tight financial spot, who simply can't add their bank account as a funding source for whatever reason, or who can't send a check or money order, I need to know before payments are received.

Thank you. Let me clarify. It is not that I wouldn't want to help further by taking care of the fees, although I'm not making any money out of this. The fact is simply that I can't take care of the fees. The fees should be only about .070 cents on the low side and as high as $1.35 on a $30.00 payment, but if you add the fees for 40, 50 or more transactions it gets to be something. Let me be brutally honest. In my current financial situation taking care of those fees will mean that I'll have to sacrifice on something (probably on my own patches and maybe some on my children’s Christmas gifts), and I definitely do not want to do that.

I would like to pay by credit card but will send check or money order if need be. I think I am down for three Number two's.

I believe that our paypal is bank account based, but will make sure with the wife. If not, I'll send a USPS money order.

In my opinion... not only should we not be sticking you with fees, I think at a minimum we should be covering your patches as a thank you for doing all the leg work.

My Paypal is linked to a credit card, and would prefer to leave it that way, so I'll be happy to send a money order, so as to not use up one of your 5 transfers.

I agree, if Preacher Man and those that designed the patches aren't getting their patches free out of this, we the lucky ones that are able to sport such a variety of nice patches, should each donate enough to cover the cost of their patches.

What say all?

Increase order to:

2 - Winning design @ reduced price
4 - GOS design @ higher price
Plus combined shipping
Pmt. via USPS M.O.

Will include an extra $1 per patch to cover administrative costs & patch for the Sparkster!!

I agree as my edited last post suggests. Pony an extra buck per patch, regardless of design or final price to help defray costs and pay for patches for Sparky, Preacherman and whoever else needs one.

I didn't really understand about the PayPal thing until I read some more posts...I'm an idiot :o Anyway, I'll pay with a MO and would be more than willing to throw in extra for Spark, Preacherman etc. No worries there. -Matt-

Guys, thanks for understanding my concern about the PayPal fees, and thanks for your generosity. Spark, Darklight (he design the patches), Thomas Linton (he's helping me with the mailing), RescueRiley (he started this whole thing), and I thank you.

If' I forgot someone who contributed to make this happen, accept my apologies and correct me please.

Good job and thanks to all who made this happen. I will send money ordr.

udtjim, can you please clarify? I'm confused regarding your order and want to make sure I get it right.

Okay, I have been away for a while and just saw this. I would like to order some patches but I can't find what the current prices are. Preacherman, can you please post the current prices for the patches. If you don't have exact ones, can you just guess and try and get the total within a dollar or so? Thanks.
