Hinderer XM-18 VS Strider SNG/SMF

None of my xms (I've had around a dozen now) are 'lightswitchable' like the zts. All work with varing degrees of snappiness when 'pushbuttoning'.

That being said I actually prefer the hinderer flipping action as it feels more controlled.

For what it is worth the bowies have been consistently the best flippers in my experience.

Gotcha - so you would describe it more of a smooth push instead of a strong pop open like a auto. Correct?

Had a question for all you Hinder XM dudes/dudets. Hows the flipping and detent on those knives. I had a zt that was similar a ways back and honestly was not impressed with the flipping. Blade was heavy detent felt a tad light and it wouldnt flip if I applied pressure to the lock bar. Other zt's I have have that same "dont add pressure to the lock bar" thing but the dentents rock.
I was thinking about getting a xm-18 or 24 just because but, didn't want it if the flipping action was not as nice as say a zt452cf?

Dude - this like complaining your car won't run if you put your foot on the brake pedal.

Depending on what you are expecting, you may be disappointed because ZT 0452cf flips snappier and faster than perhaps most if not all Hinderers.
