B11 blew my buddies mind

If you haven't tried the larger B's (-9 and -11), this Thread should be all the hard data you need to convince you of your error.

They are light, well-balanced, sharp as a razor and very quick in the hand. They are much better choppers than you would think.

He lives in South Jordan and hikes in American Fork Canyon all the time. It was the tight wad comment that really made me think of him. lol. I don't know if you are familiar with him or not. He's on YouTube. He's previously bad mouthed Busse knives because of the high cost, limited production, and weight. But, I could see him popping a tent in his pants over a Basic 11.

That's funny. I have heard of him and that he bags on Busse's but didn't know he lived so close. Popping a tent . . . ROFLMAO!!:D:D

R0CKETMAN it is definitely worth searching for.:cool:

very cool pic's and chopping! i love the view you have out there. keep them coming brother.

Great story!

When you stripped and satined your B11,how did you restore the edge. Do you have one of the Asm blades?

Way to beat on that B11, my friend!

These are definitely under appreciated and excellent blades. And you live in some beautiful country, too!

If you convince your Tight Wad buddy to get a B-11 the sheath is on Buy Brownie Clause.

We will make him a convert ;)

Just e-mail me.

It is just one of the standard v-grind although it was more of a convex to begin with. When I stripped it the finish was so good that I just put it to a scotch brite wheel and it polished up nicely. The original edge was still in tact and I just hit it with a paper wheel to make it hair popping and that's it.

Dave, I'll dangle that carrot in front of him and see what happens.;)

This is a great thread. I love my B11, favorite of all my large blades that I have or have had.

Dang just missed a B11 on the exchange....Maybe Ill just wait for the B10. The DF is my favorite chopper of all time, I think a B11 will be just as light and pack more of a punch.

Nice pics oeser!!
Handled that like it was nothin'!!

I scored a B9 in a wicked deal on the X!! (pics when it arrives)
I'm gonna need a B11 to compare to though!! ;)

(I know it's M-INFI BUT it's still a form of INFI!!)

Very nice! ...know the trail well; not a bad little jaunt... Need to get me a B-11 or one of the new ones, or both! ;)

So fun!

I will be in Provo for about 2 days, before heading on down with the fam to Tahoe. Gonna be a bummer drive, but I will probably bring a few pieces of infi just for fun.

I took the B11 you scored for me and did my own "ghetto" asymmetrical edge. Seems to chop pretty danged good!

If it came down to it, I would most likely have to sell my KZII before I parted with the B11!!!!!

Yeah, I think the B11 would stick around if I had to sell some others. Heck, I already parted with my BWM's.
