B11.....what ya think the details will be?

+2 for a smooth coat. Will this replace the BWM on BC? Or is it a Blade only offering?

Basic 9 on the bottom .... above it are a SY DFLE, BWMCG, BWM LE, FBM SE,

Here is a nice pic of a Basic 9 I got from Jimmy ....

Here is a Basic 5 ...

and here is one showing a Basic 9 with the NMFBM which should give you an idea of how long the Basic 11 would be .... just slightly shorter than this ....

The Basic 11 will make an absolutely cracking "chopper" work knife .... it will probably weigh in at 19oz and be able to keep pace with a 28 oz NMFBM .... that really "says it all" IMO ....

I think you are reaching a bit here. LOL ;)

I think it will be a good chopper, but I highly doubt to will be a match for a NMFBM.

With an 11 inch blade and a very forward balance, coupled with the fact that using a res c handle actually makes you chop harder as it hurts less, the b11 could very well be comparable to the NMFBM.

my God, I hope this is released on their site as the next large knife and not at Blade, I have to have one

I think it will be too light to match it, weight has a lot to do with performance, there is just no way to get around that. :)

It will be a good chopper IMO though.

Now if the weight is around 25 ounces then we might be talking. :)

The blade would have to be over .25" thick to get the weight up though.

It certainly will be fun to test them against each other though

Jerry hasn't said. Might be intended as a Blade 2010 Special Edition, with a discounted price for those at the show. Sometimes those then show up in a 'Ganza, at the 'regular' price.
