+10000000, it is about time to take down BWM, this would be the perfect replacement and it should be priced pretty damn good. Now if we can only talk Jerry into rolling out more of that orange Res-C that would be sick :thumbup:I am hoping it will be a standard release with an LE vers and or Satin.![]()

They did? Now this is something I didn't know existed. Do you have pics?
It was the cover piece for the Busse Basics brochure back in the 90's. Feast your eyes  :

As I recall the Basic 9 was the only Basic offered in satin. It is the only one of the four (3,5,7,9) shown in satin in this brochure.
Wow, that's just a sight to behold. The question now is, has any one actually seen this one in person? I recall seeing a pic of a NMOASH that Jerry posted as that particular knife was going to be offered. It was double cut with black paper standard scales. That knife never was released, instead we have the dc/tigerhide NMOASH. So is this one another instance of the pre-production knife being slightly different from the actual production knife? I only ask because, if this knife actually exists, then I have a grail to find.:foot:
This also gives us hope that the b11 will be satin which is the only way to go IMO.
There are some satin B9's around, buried deep in the lairs of the old stealth hogs. This wasn't a pre-production brochure--it was to support orders. Price on the standard B9 in this brochure I marked at $228, and I don't have a price for the satin but as I recall it was because I checked its price and the difference seemed "prohibitive". B7 in this brochure I have marked at $192, so if the price differential held true on a B11 we'd be looking at around $267 combat grade. Of course, that was ten+ years ago, and the B11 is INFI, not M-INFI, so maybe more. On the other hand, if no sheath is provided that might moderate the price. I notice in my brochure on the original straights the SHBM was $347 with sheath, which is exactly the current day price of the BWM sans sheath. Who says Busse's aren't a bargain?![]()
Wait when was this announced?

This is the best post in this thread so far. I nominate Will York for a shop credit for deciphering the cost of the Basic 11! Now can you predict if it will replace the BWM?
thanks![]()
