If you drive down the I65 corridor let me know when you are going to be passing through north Al. Perhaps we could meet up and discuss the b13!

Don't worry about being on some "list" either. I've seen em all, and you're already on it. Yes, you. You're on a list. Believe it. Best to just post up your interest for the 13asic 13 here, and help get the ball rolling.

I might be interested, but only if it THINFI. The SYCO 1311 is aknowledged as a great chopper, and is only 3/16" thick. If the design is longer and with a broader blade, then it has to be made from thin stock or else the knife becomes too heavy for prolonged use. And the Basic handle offers less opportunity for blancing the blade mass against the handle mass.

The Basic 8 fan club had the advantage that at least Jerry had shown the design. And it still took 4 years to deliver. Has Jerry ever posted anywhere to hint or tease about the B13?

IMHO, it would be more realistic, and more cost effective, to ask for a true machete. 16 - 18" blade, made from 1/8" SR77, ResC handle.

But that's another thread.

Agreed. I don't see the point in making it out of stock thicker than .187". I know others want it thicker but the 1311 is absolutely perfect. I really didn't like the 1111 at all. Way to thick. I like a fat blade for the novelty but we are looking for a workhorse here. Not a toy.

I'm not interested in a machete. I don't live in or near a jungle. I live near woods and therefore prefer a knife that chops. Well I guess I'd buy a Busse machete if they made one but we are looking for a monster Res-C chopper. We have a prototype in the 1311. Many of us have grown to love our 1311's. The main thing it's lacking? INFI. If the Yard can make a beast like the 1311, there is no reason why The Boss can't. He's known for big INFI choppers. It only makes sense that he would make a Res-C chopper at some point. Sure, we might have an uphill battle here but we believe if we show Jerry how fanatical we are about this knife, he'll BRING IT!! The Rats begged for a long time to get an INFIdu. Now they have 3 versions. I have faith that Boss Hog listens to his little piglets. Besides, we are doing all this advertising for him. All he needs to do is make the knives. They will sell themselves at this point.

Hey Tim... I hope you don't mind me using your drawing as a baseline to come up with my version of a Dream Bolo13...

If you want, I'll delete it but I thought you'd get a kick out of this variant.;)
