B13

Or the RespirQueen13 since Jerry is having fun playing on words. :)

At this point, I am really curious to see this elusive creature. Like seeing Bigfoot at dusk, just when you focus on the lovely sunset, he steps into frame, in focus, and whammo! CLICK!

Maybe this will be like that.

I totally missed out on the Anniversary Limited Edition Straight Handled Battle Mistress. I'm Hating myself big time for losing out on that knife.

How will that stack up against the B13?

Shane, an INFI B13, if spec'ed similar to a 1311, will blow an ASHBM out of the water for both performance and comfort. You have to reach NMFBM//TTKZ/Moabolo/Moab territory to beat 1311 performance but at almost to over double the weight the performance gain doesn't surpass the energy required to make it effective. There is a reason we are asking for this INFI B13 as the ultimate chopper for users... especially as a 13olo!

A 13olo is an excellent field knife and all around tool

Bring it Boss! It will out sell all other offers.

Awesome! !

But it would mean I would have to change my order from the DTBM to the B13. The last thing I want to do is cause any trouble with the good folks at the office. I am already trying to live down past mistakes. Trust me.

But it sounds like it might be worth it.

yeah, well, ... since there is no B13 on the horizon, you don't have to change any current order ... unfortunately ...

Well RESINGUY, I was trying to be optimistic for these guys who have invested so much time and effort into keeping this thread. It takes a lot of positive thoughts and energy.

Hope this happens for the sake of everybody involved. This is the reason I asked Mr. BUSSE about production times and advance work.

This is either in the works or as they used to say, "Not even a glint in Daddy's eye."

I am a practical realist.

So, when you asked Jerry about the B13, what did he say?

My own impression was that it was "Not even a glint in Daddy's eye."

YMMV.

RESINGUY,

When I asked that question it was more a general wonderment about how long it took from a thought out design to a finished product. I think I was asking about the BOOM PARANG. I was wondering about the process and how long ahead of time it would take for the Wednesday release party. Something like that must take months to prepare for, and produce. You can't just doodle a drawing and POOF it is ready to sell.

As far as I recall, there was no response, but Mr. BUSSE doesn't have time to read every post on every thread, and it is entirely possible I missed it.

My thought was the release schedule has to be figured out months ahead of time. It's the only way I can figure they can maintain any sort of production schedule that would keep a shop crew on a consistent basis.

I just can't see how Mr. BUSSE could decide on Tues what to release on Wednesday, and keep his shop guys from going NUTSO?!

He can decide what to put on the site on Tuesday for the next day's offering because it doesn't go into production until 2 months from now. The Busse shop has to have months of production ahead of what he is releasing next week already on the books.

Jerry has posted in this thread, I don't remember where. IIRC, Basically he didn't say it would happen, or that it wouldn't, he simply said it wasn't currently on their radar as far as production(or development, I think). That was a while back, so that could have changed.

Remember, there have been things come out of the shop with no idea by most that they had been developed. Who knows what things lurk in the janitors closet that came to fruition from Jerry and the guys sitting around the shop chatting and drinking a few beers.

Jerry is always full of surprises... and if we are lucky, one day it will 13e a 13ig chunk of INFI and res-c!

Honestly guys,

If Mr. BUSSE wants it to roll, then it will ROLL. My earlier comments were based on guesses. Probably they are all wrong.

For a deal like this, who knows?

What I do know, from experience. Unless you been there, it is extremely difficult to comprehend how much work it takes to make a knife.

It is incredibly time intensive, and detail oriented to the tenth power.

All respect to the crew we never talk to or see. Way to go Team Busse!

Never been there, but it isn't hard for me to comprehend. I come from a farming family.

I think the term we are looking at for ourselves is longsuffering It's an old term, but if you are familiar, it fits. We have to be in it for the long haul.

My comments about how hard it is to make a knife were intended to show appreciation for the people who make the products we love

I believe very deeply in the power of prayer. To me that basically means, "positive thought". This thread is ALL ABOUT exactly that.

All the best things are worth working towards, and being gracious when they do happen.

Hang In! Without a doubt it will be worth the wait !
