I've been away for several months, the internet in general really, and thought I would reintroduce myself. I live in Fayetteville NC and love the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing. I really don't consider myself a knife knut, I do love knives but tend to stick with tried and true favorites, vintage Schrade Old Timers especially.

I have been lurking for a week or so and see a lot of familiar names, glad to see all of you again and very happy that yall are well. Chris

Welcome back Chris - you'll have to tell us about all the adventures your mora's have been on lately ;)

Thanks guys, glad to see all of you guys are still around and going strong. I'm still kickin and have been going strong. My son recently joined the Air Force and leaves for basic the end of March, I really don't know how I am going to get by without him, here is a pic of him from a recent hunt.

Hey Runningboar, actually you might not believe you are in the same place. Thin is back in my friend :thumbup::thumbup: Walk around these parts with 1/8" and they start using the prybar label now!

Wow that is a change, last time I was around it was all about prying rocks apart, to hell with how it cuts.

My latest knife purchase was at Bed Bath and Beyond, IIRC it cost about 5 bucks and is endorsed by Rachel Ray. It is thin mystery stainless with a bright orange rubber handle and a bright orange plastic sheath. It is really comfortable in the hand, takes a wicked edge, and cuts like a laser....go figure. :D Chris

EDIT: I have no idea how it batons and probably never will. :) :)

I guess pictures is in order. Either of your knife or Rachel Ray!

Also great shot of your son. Give him my best wishes in his training!

Hey Chris! I was wondering if you had been relocated to a sandy locale. . .

If your really want to test that $5 wonder, let's se ya stick a piggie with it!! ;)

Edited to add: I've noticed you're old sparring (scarring?) partner, Skammer, around recently, so maybe things will be getting interesting again! :D
